An NGO dedicated to wildlife and forest conservation in the eastern buffer zone of Manas Tiger Reserve, Assam (BTC) since 2006.

Earlier it was a group under PRATEEDHANI NGO, now MSKETS is an independent non-governmental organisation conducting Forest and Wildlife conservation activities in two different Forest Ranges consist with local volunteers, in Batabari and Kumarikata Forest Range under Baksa Division.

A real hero in action! ⭐ Meet Raju Boro (Aayong), a dedicated volunteer who has been serving nature conservation for nearly a decade in the Batabari Reserved Forest, Baksa, Assam, India. Silently working, always ready for duty, it's because of selfless individuals like him that important conservation work is possible.

🦅 Rescue & Rehabilitation

This beautiful bird was rescued from a nearby area after being found unwell. It is currently under traditional care and observation to help restore its strength and health.

Once it is fully fit and able to survive on its own, it will be safely released back into the wild—where it truly belongs. 🌿

Protecting and improving Batabari and Dihira Reserve Forests is our main priority. Our volunteers are working hard to make these forests better. With proper protection, we can save these forests, which are slowly disappearing in Baksa district. Let’s work together to secure a better future for these important buffer areas of the Manas Tiger Reserve.

🎉 Shri Bijoy Choudhury, President of MSKETS and a dedicated wildlife conservationist, received a Certificate of Commendation from the Assam Forest Department for his outstanding service and commitment to conservation.

The award was presented on October 8, 2025, during the state-level Wildlife Week celebration held at Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra, Guwahati.

The event was attended by Forest Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary, senior forest officials including PCCF & HoFF Sandeep Kumar, IFS, PCCF (Wildlife) Dr. Vinay Gupta, IFS, as well as many retired officers, staff, and conservationists.

On the occasion of the 53rd World Environment Day, a prominent voluntary organisation of Baksa district, Manas Sousi Khonkhor Eco Tourism Society, organised a special event today. The programme was conducted at Madhupur, located within the Dihira Reserved Forest near the Indo-Bhutan border in the district.

The initiative began with a tree plantation drive, inaugurated by Baksa Divisional Forest Officer Pradeep Kumar Bhuyan. Following the inauguration, members of the organisation along with students from various schools planted over a thousand saplings.

After the plantation drive, an awareness meeting was held. The meeting, chaired by the president of the organisation, Bijoy Choudhury, was attended by Divisional Forest Officer Pradeep Kumar Bhuyan, FRO Batabari, Dr. Pranjal Bezbaruah from the Assam Science Technology and Environment Council, officers from the local SSB camp, representatives from WWF Manas landscape, local intellectuals, media personnel, students and more than two hundred local residents.

Public awareness meeting on the Occasion of World Earth Day and Inauguration of the 45-Day Plantation and Weeding Drive, featuring the planting of 2,000 saplings, to be held from 22nd April to 5th June 2025.

An awareness meeting on natural resource conservation was recently held in Madhupur village, Dihira area on 12-04-2025. Villagers expressed strong support for protecting the forest and wildlife of Batabari Reserve Forest in Baksa district. They adopted resolutions to enhance biodiversity conservation and eliminate dependence on forest resources in their region.

In the serene embrace of Dihira Reserve Forest, a two-day nature camping adventure unfolded on March 29-30, 2025, bringing together high school students from various schools in a celebration of nature and learning. Organised by the Green Environment Task Force (GETF) and implemented by the Assam Science Technology and Environment Council (ASTEC), the camp aimed to foster environmental awareness and inspire a deep connection with the natural world among the young participants.
