Welcoming Silvia Hernández Tejero. Silvia Hernández Tejero is a distinguished global executive with extensive leadership experience in digital and AI transformation, cloud strategy, customer experience, commercial banking, and business innovation across Europe, Latin America, and the United States. She is a globally recognized leader, who has built an outstanding career at the intersection of business transformation, technology and Leadership.
Since September 2022, she has served as Board Member at Microsoft Spain and she is now Enterprise Commercial Head for Global & Strategic Customers, leading Microsoft’s engagement and initiatives globally with some of Spain’s largest enterprises across banking, insurance, retail, energy, and telecommunications sectors. In this role, she works closely with CEOs, COOs, and C-level executives to accelerate AI transformation, cloud adoption, cybersecurity, digital modernization, automation, and innovation through Microsoft’s global ecosystem and advanced technologies.
Prior to Microsoft, Silvia served as Managing Director & Partner at Accenture, where mainly she led Cloud First in Mexico. Her leadership drove large-scale cloud migration, digital transformation, and modernization programs across industries including financial services, retail, consumer products, and resources.
Earlier, she built an international career within Santander Group and Banesto, leading global multichannel transformation across major markets including Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Spain, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Germany, Poland, and the United States. At Banesto she led Innovation and Customer Experience Area reporting directly to the CEO, and also Commercial System and Transformation for Retail Banking.
Throughout her career, Silvia has consistently delivered measurable business growth, strengthened customer engagement, accelerated digital transformation, and led large-scale organizational modernization programs. Her leadership has contributed to internationally recognized quality, innovation, and transformation achievements.
Silvia Hernández Tejero has received numerous prestigious recognitions, including being honored as an “Exceptional Woman of Excellence in Business” by the Women Economic Forum (WEF) Iberoamerica and being named among the “100 Successful Leaders in Spain” by Dirigentes Magazine.
Academically, she completed the General Management Programme (PDG) at IESE Business School and the Leading Change and Organizational Renewal Program at Harvard Business School and Cloud Transformation Program at MIT. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economic Science & Business from the University of Valladolid, along with master’s degrees in Quality Management and Marketing.
