Project Description:-Inner Wheel Club of Amritsar Midtown New Gen participated in a Mass Marriage Ceremony held at Bhavan’s SL Public School, supporting 16 underprivileged couples as they began a new chapter of life. Each couple was provided with essential household items to help them start their married life with dignity. Club members contributed by donating essential items and cash towards this noble initiative.

Happy Baisakhi

*Baisakhi*, also called Vaisakhi, is celebrated on April 13 or 14 every year, marking the Sikh New Year and the spring harvest festival in Punjab.

For Sikhs, it commemorates 1699, when Guru Gobind Singh founded the *Khalsa Panth* at Anandpur Sahib and gave Sikhs a distinct identity.

The day is marked by prayers at gurdwaras, *nagar kirtan* processions, bhangra and gidda performances, and farmers thanking for the wheat harvest. People greet each other with “Vaisakhi di lakh vadhaiyan.”

The 283 Widow Ration Pension Programme, organised by Chinmaya Mission, was a meaningful initiative aimed at supporting needy and underprivileged widows. IWC Amritsar Midtown and IWC Amritsar Midtown New Gen proudly associated themselves with this noble cause and extended their wholehearted support. As part of the programme, 200 shawls and 50 blankets were distributed to the beneficiaries, providing much-needed warmth and comfort. The initiative reflected compassion, dignity, and care for widows, beautifully highlighting Inner Wheel’s commitment to service, humanity, and social responsibility.

On the auspicious occasion of “ Makar Sankranti “, the Inner Wheel Club of Amritsar Midtown New Gen undertook a heart-warming service project to support “ Shaheed Fauja Singh Orphanage “.
Keeping in mind the winter needs of the children, the club provided essential winter relief and grocery items to ensure comfort, care, and nourishment during the cold season.

2. 50 Undergarments
3. 50 kg Onions
4. 50 kg Potatoes
5. 30 kg Sugar
6. 5 kg Tea

These thoughtful contributions brought warmth and relief to the children and reflected the club’s spirit of compassion, unity, and commitment to serving society.
