Vijayadashami (also known as Dussehra) is a Hindu festival that marks the victory of good over evil. It celebrates two main events:

Lord Rama's victory over Ravana in the Ramayana, symbolizing the triumph of good (Rama) over evil (Ravana).
Goddess Durga's victory over the demon Mahishasura, symbolizing the victory of divine power over destructive forces.
Celebrated at the end of the nine-day Navaratri festival, it involves burning effigies of Ravana, theatrical performances (Ramlila), processions, and festive gatherings. It is considered an auspicious day for new beginnings.
