רונן שלו, אביו של רועי שלו ז״ל, משתף ברגע מרגש במיוחד עם זכייתה של קבוצת הכדורסל של עמותת קהילת שבט הנובה באליפות הליגה למקומות עבודה (מחוז תל אביב).
רועי שלו ז״ל היה חבר אהוב ודמות משמעותית ביותר עבור כולנו.
הוא הקים את קבוצת הכדורסל והיה הקפטן שלה, ולאחר מותו נקראה הקבוצה על שמו.
רונן נזכר ברגע שבו רועי סיפר לו שקיבל את המשימה להקים את קבוצת הכדורסל של הנובה, ואיך מתוך החזון, האהבה לספורט והיכולת שלו לחבר אנשים, הוא בנה קבוצה שהפכה עם הזמן לקבוצה מגובשת, תחרותית ומקצועית, ולמרחב משמעותי של שיקום, שייכות וכוח עבור חבריה.
עבור רונן, לראות את הקבוצה שרועי הקים מסיימת את העונה כאלופה, ואת השחקנים מאושרים וממשיכים יחד את הדרך שהתחיל, הוא רגע של התרגשות עצומה. לדבריו, עבור רועי זו הייתה הגשמת חלום.

Roei Shalev z”l was a beloved friend and an incredibly meaningful figure to all of us.
He founded the basketball team and served as its captain, and after his passing, the team was named in his memory.
Ronen recalls the moment Roei told him he had been given the mission of creating Nova’s basketball team.
Through his vision, love of sports, and ability to bring people together, Roei built a team that grew into a united, competitive, and professional group, as well as a meaningful space for healing, belonging, and strength.
For Ronen, seeing the team Roei created finish the season as champions, watching the players celebrate and continue the path he started, is deeply emotional. In his words, for Roei, this would have been a dream come true.
The community is an anchor.
