PlayFully goats in the middle of the Himalayan forest.

There is great joy in the little surprises the mundane gives us.
The more we dissolve into nature, or into simple mindful routines,
the more the mind becomes calm enough to receive those gifts.

Look at that cute face.

Some stories are born from moments like these. 🐐

Who among us enjoys to feel sad or scared, frustrated or any of these uncomfortable feelings? They are not fun 🌥 but natural.

The premise of Tara's Four Seasons is that those uncomfortable feelings are part of life, the changing clouds that go through the ever present sun. They are part of nature, as we are nature itself.

As children go through those difficult experiences, or as we ourselves go through them, can we hold a space that knows it's ok?

I parallel it as a stretch sometimes, like in yoga practice… you learn how to relax in the uncomfortable, and from that there is an expansion, a growth. Over time, that builds confidence. And if we are able to hold it with children and ourselves, maybe those uncomfortable feelings become something we file under: “I know this, I can handle it.” That’s how, I belive, confidence is built ✨️

Winter will come and go.
Spring will, too.

I had quite a scare today with Amazon.

There was a long and frustrating saga with customer service. While trying to connect different formats of my book so it would be available in India, all the reviews suddenly disappeared.

Every independent author knows that collecting reviews is not simple. Some people buy the book and get stuck technically, some just forget, and reviews are really the gold of indie authors, so you can imagine how it felt when, in one moment, everything was gone. My heart started racing.

The reviews are back now, but split between the different formats. I’m hoping that time (and customer service) will sort that out too...

So maybe this is a small reminder that things don’t always go as planned, but it’s up to us to meet them with intention and see what good we can make of it.

It’s still in progress, and slowly my heart is beginning to settle back into place 🥰

So despite all the challenges, Tara’s Four Seasons is on Amazon and finding its way to readers — just split between different formats.

Thank you to everyone who has read the book and taken the time to leave a review.

Thank you to everyone who likes, shares, and comments. Your support really helps this story reach more people.

And if you’ve read the book, or are planning to read it, and it touched you or supported you or your child in some way, I would really love to hear about it.

That’s the reason I do all of this.

I’ll keep you posted.

This made me smile last morning. I caught myself thinking again, “only in India.”

A cow standing right in the middle of the entrance. And then, as if she sensed it, she started playing with a plant. I actually felt like she was inviting me into play.

This went on until a building worker arrived, and she seemed to understand it was time to move. I continued on my way, and she came along with me, behind me, beside me.

I found myself thinking I had never walked with a cow before. And I felt safe, and amused.

While a cow is not exactly a common pet, at least not in Western countries, this moment stayed with me.

When I thought about sharing this here, I remembered how, as a therapist, I used to recommend that parents bring a pet into the home.

Animals can support children’s emotional regulation. They offer a steady, reliable presence that does not judge. Something to touch, to play with, to care for.

It is not by chance that it felt important for me to include a pet in the story.

And like everything, it is also a place where children meet change.

So here is a warm recommendation for regulation and grounding.

From Ola to Namaste

Moving from Europe back to India reminded me how much children need transition time too, and how important it is to allow it.

Time to adjust, to slow down, to take in what’s changing. The goodbyes and the new meetings. Saying Namaste instead of Ola takes getting used to.

It made me think about children, and how often they move from one moment to the next without that in-between time.

Transition time is that space in between, a moment to land, to settle, to arrive.

Not just in big transitions, but in the small, everyday ones too. From play to rest, from day to night.

And maybe it’s something to hold in mind, at home, in school, in the way a day is shaped. Leaving a little more space before moving on.
