Amid rising global antisemitism, over 100 rabbinical emissaries from Scotland, Poland, Germany, Italy, and beyond gathered in Paris for the Straus-Amiel European Emissaries Conference, held in partnership with KKL and Mercaz HaShlichut of World Mizrachi.
In a city with deep Jewish roots—and in a time of profound challenges—the conference focused on strengthening Jewish communities, fostering unity, and addressing the pressing realities facing Diaspora Jewry today.
We were honored to welcome Rabbi Kalman Ber, Chief Rabbi of Israel, who uplifted participants with a message of unity, resilience, and leadership.
Additionally, Rabbi Eliezer Melamed, on his first-ever trip outside Israel, engaged the group with halakhic insights and practical guidance on the real-world challenges they face in their communal work.
Our emissaries stand on the front lines of Jewish continuity, ensuring that Jewish life in Europe doesn’t just endure, but flourishes.

על רקע העלייה באנטישמיות העולמית, למעלה מ-100 שליחים ורבנים מגרמניה, פולין, סקוטלנד, איטליה, אנגליה, שוודיה, צרפת, יוון, דנמרק, ספרד, נורווגיה, שווייץ, טורקיה, בלגיה, אוסטריה ומדינות נוספות התכנסו בפריז לכנס שליחי אירופה השנתי של מכון 'שטראוס-עמיאל', בשיתוף קק"ל ומרכז השליחות מייסודה של המזרחי העולמי.
בעיר בעלת שורשים יהודיים עמוקים - ובזמן של אתגרים משמעותיים - התרכז הכנס בחיזוק קהילות יהודיות, טיפוח אחדות והתמודדות עם המציאות הדחופה שעומדת בפני יהדות התפוצות כיום.
זכינו להשתתפותו של הרב הראשי לישראל, הרב קלמן בר, שהעצים את המשתתפים במסר של אחדות ומנהיגות.
הרב אליעזר מלמד, בנסיעתו הראשונה מחוץ לישראל, העניק מענה הלכתי לשאלות השליחים על האתגרים המעשיים בעבודתם הקהילתית.
השליחים שלנו ניצבים בחזית העשייה למען המשך ושגשוג החיים היהודיים באירופה.
