We work with government and community leaders in order to raise awareness of the danger of Jewish evangelism. We therefore encourage safe and consistent boundaries in our interfaith relationships. We believe it is important to be pro-active in confronting missionary influence and movements in the Jewish homeland, while striving to maintain an atmosphere of mutual respect and cooperation with Christian friends of the State of Israel. Israel is fast reaching the tipping point, where Christian missionary organizations become an accepted part of the Israeli mainstream. For 72 years Israeli society – religious and secular, right wing and left, have argued about the meaning of Jewish identity, but we always drew the line when it came to accepting Christianity. Partnering with Christian leaders and organizations offers Israel many benefits if it does not cross the line and enable missionary activity. Now, for the first time, key institutions in Israeli society are actively cooperating with missionaries, giving them free reign to preach their faith among young and vulnerable Israelis.

Are Missionary materials showing up at your home? When sending materials, please be sure to include a brief explanation of the city it was found, where it was placed (mailbox? personally given?), who it appears to have been targeting (youth, elderly, children, religious, non-religious?), and when. How does this help us?

1. IDENTIFICATION - Obtaining the materials and information about where they were collected helps us to identify which missions are active in what locations, who they're targeting, and the methods that are employed by these particular groups.

2. EDUCATION - The missionary message is constantly evolving and new techniques are being employed all the time. These materials help us to know what tactics are being used so that we can better respond via education and awareness.

3. LEGISLATION - The bombardment of missionary materials targeting the Jewish people has reached an all time high. The deceptive appearance, packaging, and methods used to get Jews to read it is downright offensive. By collecting these materials and information on who and how they're being used will help is make a physical presentation on the severity of the issue. We would also appreciate photographs of the material, and where it was found. Beyneynu - בינינו

🚨 ALERT from Beyneynu: Missionaries Targeting Israelis via WhatsApp Groups

Beyneynu has identified a deceptive effort to reach Israeli residents—particularly Latino communities—through WhatsApp groups promoting “hasbara” and Hebrew instruction.

Several months ago, a Spanish number created multiple WhatsApp groups in cities across Israel, presenting itself as a resource for learning Hebrew and engaging with Israeli culture. However, after repeated attempts to clarify the identity and intentions behind this account, as well as observing frequent distortions of Torah teachings, it was discovered that the organizer is froma group who identify themselves as “Messianic”—a term often used by Christian missionaries to appear Jewish while promoting belief in Jesus.

Important Reminder:
Messianic Judaism is a branch of evangelical Christianity that uses Jewish symbols, language, and practices to target Jews for conversion.

We urge community members:
• Be vigilant when joining religious or language-based groups online.
• Leave these WhatsApp groups immediately.
• Help us protect the integrity of our Jewish communities by reporting suspicious activity.

For more information or to report missionary activity, contact Beyneynu at [email protected].

Let’s stay informed and stand strong together.

The issue isn’t just about “possible exposure”—it’s the fundamental prohibition against a Jew entering a church at all. And the idea of missionary groups partnering with any government body? Completely absurd. (English Translation below)

**IDF Event in Missionary Hall Sparks Uproar**
Following a complaint by the "Or L'Achim" organization, the IDF is re-examining the use of "The Pavilion" hall in Jerusalem, which is affiliated with a missionary church. Soldiers who attended the event said: "We were shocked by the very choice of the location."

A storm has erupted within the IDF following a revelation by the “Or L’Achim” organization that an IDF-sponsored event took place in a Jerusalem hall known for its missionary activity. The event was a stand-up comedy show held at “The Pavilion,” which is part of the “King of Kings” church.

Reservist soldiers from the 66th Battalion—both religious and non-religious—who attended the event, contacted the Or L’Achim hotline expressing shock that an official IDF event was held in a venue considered one of the most prominent missionary centers in Israel.

In an urgent letter sent to Defense Minister Israel Katz, IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi, and Chief Military Rabbi Brig. Gen. Rabbi Eyal Karim, Rabbi Binyamin Volkan—head of the department combating missionary activity and cults at Or L’Achim—described the stream of complaints received about the event and his attempts to prevent it in advance. This included an appeal to the battalion’s rabbi, Rabbi Shalom Habshush, who allegedly refused to consider an alternative venue.

“We offered them an alternative location and clarified the halachic (Jewish legal) severity of the prohibition,” wrote Rabbi Volkan, “but unfortunately, the appeal was ignored.” According to him, this is part of a recurring phenomenon, as additional IDF events have reportedly been held at the same hall, potentially exposing soldiers—sometimes unknowingly—to missionary content.

He further added that “this constitutes a serious offense to the beliefs and feelings of soldiers, in contradiction to the principles of safeguarding their rights and religious identity.”

In their appeal to senior IDF and Defense Ministry officials, the organization demanded the immediate cessation of all IDF activity at this venue and the assurance that no future publicly funded events will be held there.

The office of the IDF’s Chief Rabbi, Rabbi Eyal Karim, responded:
“This issue is known to us and is being addressed substantively.”

Missionaries seized the opportunity for face time today as large crowds gathered in Crown Heights ahead of planned Anti-Israel protests.

Crown Heights, one of the most prominent Jewish neighborhoods in New York, was targeted today by anti-Israel activists who flooded the area with flyers reading "RUN IT BACK" and "Flood the streets of Crown Heights to inform them that Zionism is not welcome here," alongside "Free Palestine" flags and signs.

Drawing powerful parallels between the ancient Exodus and the modern path of a convert, she explores the trials, isolation, and moments of divine affirmation that shape the soul of a ger.

From the discomfort of early Seders—where halachic questions cast long shadows—to the transformative moment of pouring the four cups post-mikvah, Shannon’s story is one of struggle and sacred belonging. She reminds us that the convert’s journey is not just a ritual—it’s a spiritual exodus, filled with loss, faith, and redemption.

With the Torah commanding us 36 times to love the convert, this article is both a call to honor those who have chosen to join Am Yisrael and a heartfelt glimpse into the lived experience of one who crossed her own Red Sea.

Shannon Nuszen, Director of Beyneynu - בינינו, explores the deep connection between marital intimacy and the profound bond between God and the Jewish people in the story of the Exodus.

True intimacy—yada—is being deeply known and seen. It’s the bond in marriage and the connection between God and Israel, especially in suffering. To know is to stand with, to not look away. Without it, relationships and truth unravel.

Shannon Nuszen of Beyneynu - בינינו speaks with both passion and precision when discussing the complicated relationship between Christian Zionism and the Jewish world.

“There are many ways Christians can and should support Israel,” she said. “Advocating for Israel’s right to defend itself, fighting antisemitism, advocating and standing with the Jewish people – those are powerful forms of support. Financial aid is appreciated, too.

“But when that support becomes a vehicle to convert Jews, it crosses a line. That’s where Jewish leadership must step in and define healthy boundaries for interfaith cooperation.”
