The King of Months 👑

Did you know that the month of Nisan is referred to as the "Head" or "King" of all months?

The Torah tells us: "This month shall be the first month for you" (Lachem). Our sages point out a beautiful connection: the Hebrew word Lachem (לכם) shares the exact same letters as Melech (מלך), King.

Nisan is the source of energy for the entire year because of its royal significance. We have a unique opportunity (and obligation) to sanctify it and start our year with a boost of holiness and freedom.

Happy Rosh Chodesh Nisan 🌙

Did you know? Nissan is called "Chodesh Ha'aviv" (the month of spring) and marks the new year for counting festivals. It's when we commemorate the Exodus from Egypt - the birth of the Jewish nation as a free people. This month is known as the "month of redemption" because it's when we were redeemed, and tradition teaches that future redemption will also come in Nissan.

May this Rosh Chodesh bring you renewal, hope, and abundant blessings as we prepare for Passover and the journey toward freedom.
