**Returning the Land and Man to the Divine Cycles of Life
“The wilderness and the parched land shall be glad for them and the desert shall rejoice and blossom as the rose.” (Isaiah 35:1)
The Community Agricultural Project (C.A.P.) began in as a unique village-based initiative in Divine Organic Agriculture, located in the Judean Highlands of the Holy Land, Israel, Northeast Africa. It was found
ed in 1987 by the African Hebrew Israelites of Jerusalem, in the Village of Peace- Dimona, Israel, known throughout Israel and international localities for its wholesome, all-natural foods, high integrity lifestyle, and virtuous culture of peace. Tenacious, the Community Agricultural Project has overcome many challenges in order to grow nutrient-rich, organic food-crops in Israel. has become successful in cultivating land in the Judean desert which has for centuries been regarded as wasteland, cursed land, unsown land to bring forth “A Miracle in the Desert”, for the strengthening of the land and man. supplies divine organic produce to over 3000 men, women, and children from its collectively cultivated farms in Dimona, Israel. An integral part of a communal holistic life-style, C.A.P. espouses veganism, high moral ethical standards, and the sharing of agri-responsibilities and resources as a way of life. Staffed by community members who have been certified as organic growers by the Israel Bio-Organic Agricultural Association (IBOAA), C.A.P promotes adherence to sound ecological principles that help preserve and protect the bio-sphere of the earth and, moreover, emphasizes the cultivation of fields in accordance with natural, spiritual, and biblical laws and cycles which govern a broad sphere of agri-ecological activities. From 1987 to the present, through labor intensive work, C.A.P. has been able to produce over 600 metric tons of organic vegetables without the use of artificial inputs; C.A.P.'s methodologies prohibit the use of all conventional agri-biocides which include pesticides, chemical fertilizers, genetically modified organisms, etc.
“And I will raise them a plant [crops] of renown, and they shall be no more consumed with hunger in the land, neither bear the shame of the nations anymore.” (Ezekiel 34:29)
For over two decades, we have utilized our fields to gain the knowledge and experience needed in intensified organic (non-chemical) methods to cultivate crops that meet the nutritional needs of economically disadvantaged communities. As a result, C.A.P. has become internationally recognized as a viable model of self-development through shared agri-responsibilities and resources. Today, the C.A.P. model is being specifically applied to peri-urban communities throughout Israel, underdeveloped rural sectors in Africa, as well as disadvantaged communities throughout the world in order to raise subsistence agriculture to self-sustainable levels of productivity.
