๐คโจ A Different Voice in Difficult Times โจ๐ค
The past two years have been incredibly painful for everyone here. Fear, anger, and division have become louder โ and stories of conflict are often the only ones people hear.
But there is another story. And this month, our FKI ambassadors are the ones telling it.
Over the past month, 10 Jewish and Arab children in our program have taken part in a storytelling workshop with our community coordinator. Together, they built presentations about their lives, their achievements, their experiences at FKI, and what it really means to play, talk, and grow alongside kids from โthe other side.โ
This week and next, they are standing up in their schools and speaking in front of their classmates. These brave young people are saying something powerful:
โItโs possible. Iโm doing it.โ
They speak about friendships, about mentors, about shared practices and competitions. They show photos, they share pride, and they invite others to join. They are becoming ambassadors of change โ voices that are rarely heard, but deeply needed.
This program is about much more than tennis.
It is about:
๐ฑ Confidence and personal growth
๐ฑ Pride in who they are
๐ฑ Leadership and courage
๐ฑ Challenging stereotypes
๐ฑ Showing that shared society is not a dream โ itโs something they are already living
In a time when division feels overwhelming, these children are standing up and saying: we can choose another way.
And that voice matters.
