🌳 Coill na nÓg - Helping School Communities Grow a Greener Future!

Coill na nÓg, a native tree and hedgerow planting initiative from Biodiversity in Schools, in partnership with eFlow, is helping schools across Ireland create mini-woodlands, support biodiversity and connect young people with nature.

🌱 Schools can enter for the chance to receive free native tree and hedgerow packs, with opportunities to win one of three outdoor classrooms through a competition celebrating nature in school grounds.

🍃 The initiative is open to preschools, primary and secondary schools, and homeschool settings across Ireland.

🌍 Become a European Climate Pact Ambassador

The European Climate Pact is inviting people who are passionate about climate action to become Pact Ambassadors and inspire positive change in their communities.

Ambassadors help raise awareness, share ideas, connect people and encourage practical local action. It's an opportunity to build connections, access training and resources, and be part of a Europe-wide community working towards a greener future.

Applications are open until the 31st October, with early applications encouraged.

🏳️‍⚧️ Funding for Trans-Led Organisations

The International Trans Fund (ITF) is now accepting applications for its Empower Trans Movements grant programme, supporting trans-led organisations working to advance the rights and wellbeing of trans communities worldwide.

💰 SEED Grants: US$10,000–US$25,000 for organisations new to ITF funding.

💰 THRIVE Grants: US$25,000–US$50,000 for organisations previously funded by ITF and in good standing.

Eligible organisations and informal groups must be trans-led, have an annual operating budget below US$100,000, and work to support trans communities through advocacy, organising, community-building or capacity development.

Circular.ie is offering grants to help community initiatives share their circular story, strengthen their communications and grow their impact!

The Michael Guinee Charitable Foundation supports sustainable projects that make a positive difference to people and communities across Ireland.

Funding is available to registered Irish charities and not-for-profit organisations/CLGs working in areas such as arts and culture, education, community welfare, inclusion and tackling disadvantage.

Applicants should have a clear project plan, budget and timeline, and demonstrate the need for their proposed project.

📅 Closing date: No specific closing date – applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. Please note that the Foundation currently advises a processing time of approximately four months for new submissions, so early applications are encouraged.

🏛️ Community Monuments Fund 2027 - Now Open for Applications

Wicklow County Council is inviting applications to the Community Monuments Fund 2027, supporting the preservation, conservation and enhancement of archaeological monuments for the benefit of local communities.

Grants of up to €130,000 are available for conservation and repair works, with funding of up to €30,000 available for conservation plans and improving public access and interpretation.

Eligible applicants include local authorities, private owners, community groups and monument custodians.

📅 Application deadline: 4pm on the 22nd January 2027.

🌎 Funding Opportunity: Protect Nature and Tackle Climate Change

Has your group got an idea to help the environment?
The Awesome Foundation’s Conservation and Climate chapter offers $1,000 grants to support creative projects promoting environmental conservation, biodiversity and climate action.

🎨 Arts Capital Investment Fund – Closing Date: 18th December 2026

A new €6 million Arts Capital Investment Fund is now open, offering support to not-for-profit arts and cultural organisations, community groups and voluntary groups across Ireland.

Grants of up to €200,000 are available for construction and refurbishment works, up to €100,000 for equipment for arts and cultural facilities, and up to €15,000 for community and voluntary groups to increase participation in the arts.

🚶‍♀️🚲 Active Travel Community Fund 2027

The National Transport Authority (NTA) has opened the Active Travel Community Fund 2027, supporting organisations to develop initiatives that encourage walking, cycling and other sustainable forms of transport.

Funding will support projects that promote sustainable travel, improve accessibility and safety, and contribute to reducing transport-related emissions.
