Welcome to the official page of Miniature Schnauzer Fundraising Group, a dedicated fundraising group committed to supporting the lives of Miniature Schnauzers in Ireland. Our mission is to provide love, support, and necessary funds to ensure that these charming companions receive the care and attention they deserve. 100% of the funds raised go to the Miniature Schnauzer Rescue Ireland official charity. Well it's because Miniature Schnauzers, with their boundless energy, expressive eyes, and unmistakable beards, bring immeasurable joy and companionship to our lives......More importantly, they want us to? Remember the Miniature Schnauzer motto, "It's All About Us!".......... Seriously though, many find themselves in need due to various circumstances such as abandonment, ill health, or lack of resources. By joining hands with us, you're not just helping a dog; you're restoring a life through MSRI. Our journey of giving unfolds through two main events each year: the exhilarating VHI Women's Mini-Marathon and the heartwarming Christmas Charity Fundraiser. These events are not just about raising funds; they're about building a thriving and engaged community of compassionate hearts who believe in making a difference, one schnauzer at a time. Here, you'll find everything from event details, heart-touching success stories, ways you can contribute, and endless pictures of the schnauzers whose lives you're helping to transform. We were absolutely delighted to see this lovely update from Miniature Schnauzer Rescue Ireland

Zola and Ivy have found their perfect forever home together and are settling in beautifully with their new family. They now have plenty of secure space to run, play and enjoy life alongside their new rescue dog siblings, and of course a big comfy couch to relax on while the stormy weather passes. 🐾

Stories like this are only possible because of the incredible support shown by our MSRI & MSFG community. Every calendar purchased, every Christmas card sold, every raffle ticket bought, every donation made, every event attended and every post shared helps support the vital work of rescue.

To all our supporters, thank you. Your kindness and generosity help dogs like Zola and Ivy get the second chance they deserve and find the loving homes they've been waiting for. 🐶❤️

A huge thank you also to their dedicated foster family, whose love, patience and care helped these beautiful girls blossom and prepare for their next chapter.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to St Anne's Park for our fantastic September finale walk—it was so wonderful seeing all those brilliant beards together! 🐕❤️ September was an absolute whirlwind of celebrations, but the fun doesn't stop here. As the leaves start to fall and crisp autumn walks begin, we’ve got plenty of exciting things brewing in the MSFG cauldron this month! 🧙‍♀️✨

Here’s what’s happening in October across the pack:

👻 1. Halloween Howls & Bark-tober Costumes!
It’s Spooky Season! 🎃 We want to see your Schnauzers in their best autumn outfits or funniest Halloween costumes. Keep an eye on our page for our Spooky Snoots thread coming mid-month—start prepping those costumes now! 🧟‍♂️🐾

👥 2. Join Our Small & Mighty Volunteers Pack!
We are looking for enthusiastic dog lovers to join our team! If you want to help make a difference for Miniature Schnauzer Rescue Ireland, we’d love to welcome you. We’re currently looking for help with:

Happy 1st of September, everyone! The wait is over—our big month of celebration is officially live! 🥳🐕

September 25th marks International Schnauzer Day, but one day is never enough for these incredible, bearded personalities. For the entire month, we are taking over to raise awareness and vital funds for Miniature Schnauzer Rescue Ireland (MSRI)!

We know, we know... we are completely skipping past August! 🏝️ Our committee is taking a quick breath, but we are so excited about our plans for the next few months that we couldn’t wait any longer to share them with you.

We want to get our September plans directly into your diary right now so we can ensure we have a massive turnout and make a huge impact.

Episode 1 – The Journey Begins

Every calendar starts with an idea......

This weekend, the journey to our 2027 Miniature Schnauzer Fundraising Group - MSFG / Miniature Schnauzer Rescue Ireland (MSRI) Charity Calendar officially began as some of this year's calendar stars arrived in Dublin for their professional photoshoots.

This is Phase One of a three-phase project that will eventually see the finished calendars printed and available to purchase later this year, with proceeds supporting the incredible work of MSRI

A huge thank you goes to Jenny McCarthy and the team at Photosbyjen who very generously provided their beautiful studio free of charge, and to Dean McCarthy Pet Photography - https://www.instagram.com/deanmccarthypetphotography who donated his time, expertise and endless patience to capture every schnauzer's unique personality.

We're also incredibly grateful to every owner who travelled from across Ireland to be part of this special weekend.

Your enthusiasm, support and community spirit are what make the Miniature Schnauzer family so unique.

Over the coming weeks, The Calendar Chronicles will take you behind the scenes of the entire journey, from photoshoots and editing to design, printing and finally, the launch of the 2027 calendar.

🧇 🐾 THURSDAY... WAFFLE?! A DAY LATE BUT BETTER LATER THAN NEVER! 🐾 🧇
Happy... wait, what day is it? 🤔

Okay, let’s be completely honest with the pack—our calendar-checking Schnauzer bosses clearly fell asleep on the job yesterday because today is actually Thursday! But listen, a good mid-week waffle is far too important to skip just because we are 24 hours late to the party. Consider this a "Thursday Waffle with a Wednesday attitude"! 😉☕️🐕

Grab a cuppa and let’s catch up on what’s happening behind the scenes at MSFG headquarters. A massive hello to all our long-time supporters and a huge welcome to the many new faces who have joined the pack recently!

📋 What’s on the Horizon?
We are officially in full "Building Our Pack" planning mode for our upcoming seasonal pillars! If you haven't seen our annual roadmap yet, here is a quick look at what we are brewing up:

🗺️ Location Scouting: We are actively reviewing your suggestions and looking into alternating walk locations so we can bring the beards to as many parts of the country as possible!

💻 Virtual Pack Preparation: We are setting up the framework so that our brilliant virtual walkers get the full community experience, no matter where they are trekking from.

🇸🇪 The Big September Countdown: Plans are already in motion to make The National Schnauzer Day Celebration (Sunday, September 27th) our biggest and most memorable get-together yet!

🌲 The Festive Furry Family Walk (December): And yes, the Santa hats will be making a return! We are already brainstorming how to wrap up the year with the ultimate, cozy winter walk to support MSRI. 🧑‍🎄🐾
