(Breaking the Silence) is an LGBT group working to raise awareness of issues that affect the lives of LGBT people of all ages in Co Mayo. was created in order to address the issues that affect Le***an, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT), people in Co Mayo. LGBT People Experience:

Our aim is to raise awareness of these issues and by so do
ing help to improve the lives of LGBT people and their families living in Co Mayo. Research has shown that at least ten per cent of the population identifies as le***an, gay or bisexual. Transgender people appear in all categories including heterosexual. That means that over 12,000 LGBT people live in Co Mayo. We are working to combat the isolation experienced by many of our people in Co. Mayo and to help the LGBT community become more visible in ordinary everyday life. The TOST? committee meet once a month to plan events and to coordinate the work being done by TOST?.
