📢 Applications for the 2025 Vhi Health & Wellbeing Fund are closing next Wednesday, 11th June, before midnight.

This year’s fund is supporting projects from non-profit and youth organisations, located in Dublin, Cork, Kilkenny, Galway, Limerick and Donegal, that seek to strengthen resilience in young people and help them manage anxiety. With €85,000 in grants available!

We invite you to submit your applications before the deadline, to do so please visit iyf.ie/grants/. Terms and conditions apply.

📢 Exciting News! Applications for the 2025 Vhi Health & Wellbeing Fund are now OPEN!

This year, Vhi had Irish Olympian and Vhi Health & Wellbeing Fund Ambassador, Jack Woolley launch the 2025 Vhi Health & Wellbeing Fund!

With €85,000 in grants available, in Awards of up to €10,000 for non-profit and youth organisations located in Dublin, Cork, Kilkenny, Galway, Limerick and Donegal.

The fund will support projects that seek to strengthen resilience in young people and help them manage anxiety, with the emphasis on early intervention and prevention.

We invite you to submit your applications for this year’s Vhi Health and Wellbeing Fund before midnight on Wednesday, 11th June at iyf.ie/grants/. Terms and conditions apply.

To celebrate International Women's Day 2025, The Irish Youth Foundation was once again delighted that the Udemy Dublin team hosted their International Women's Day event in association with us.

Congratulations to everyone involved in the event's success. We were particularly impressed by the talented performances of the young musicians from the Irish Institute of Music, and by the mother and daughter workshop instructors Deborah and Sophie Riegel.

The Irish Youth Foundation has established a strategic alliance with Save the Children UK. Save the Children UK work to ensure children are safe, healthy, and can achieve their full potential. The Irish Youth Foundation is excited to learn from the Save the Children UK team’s expertise and experience. The Irish Youth Foundation are also delighted to receive grant funding from Save the Children UK to grow the Irish Youth Foundation team. This strategic alliance will help the Irish Youth Foundation to meet the needs of young people in Ireland who are experiencing disadvantage. It marks the start of an exciting new chapter of growth for the Irish Youth Foundation. .

In which, Sarah outlines the impact that poverty has on children and young people. Sarah also shares how the Irish Youth Foundation works to interrupt the cycle of poverty, by empowering youth workers, the ‘unsung heroes’ to do more, so there are fewer negative outcomes for children and young people who experience disadvantage.

A Message from the Chair of Our Board

On behalf of the Irish Youth Foundation board and team, I would like to express our sincere gratitude to Lucy Masterson for her dedication to the organisation over the past five years. Lucy's leadership and vision have significantly increased the impact of the Irish Youth Foundation on the lives of tens of thousands of young people.

As Lucy steps down from her role as CEO of the Irish Youth Foundation, we wish her all the best and are delighted that we will continue to benefit from her insight and experience as she joins our board.

We are thrilled to also announce that Sarah Edmonds, the Irish Youth Foundation Head of Grants & Programmes, will be leading the Irish Youth Foundation into its next chapter. Sarah has been a core part of the Irish Youth Foundation team for over seven years and has a deep understanding of our work. Both Sarah and the Irish Youth Foundation team are excited to embark on this next chapter and we wish her all the best. The commitment and continuity of the Irish Youth Foundation to improving the lives of young people is shared across the organisation, our donors and our partners.

Today in Ireland, one in five children is living in poverty.

The Irish Youth Foundation works to support these children and young people who are experiencing disadvantage, helping them reach their full potential by funding a wide range of youth projects across the country.

Following a long Irish Youth Foundation tradition of incredible cycling challenges, the amazing Lucy Murray and Paul O'Shea recently completed a 700km Paris to Nice cycle in just 6 days.

Lucy and Paul were truly inspiring as they took on this challenging feat. They raised an amazing €17,925.

The incredible amount of money they raised will help The Irish Youth Foundation continue its work in levelling the playing field for children and young people across Ireland.

A huge THANK YOU to Lucy and Paul! We hope your legs have recovered from this amazing challenge.
