Thank you so much to all at Mountmellick Macra Light Up Truck And Tractor Run for your sterling work in raising a whopping €23000 on behalf of SOSAD Laois. We were honoured to be the recipients of this donation and we witnessed first hand the amount of blood, sweat and tears, that went in to organising, what was a marvellous event bringing our community in Laois closer together.

Special thanks to Michael O'Gorman, Marie Tuohy and the committee at Mountmellick Macra.

This donation ensures that we can continue to provide our essential counselling and su***de intervention service to all those that need it, in Laois and the surrounding counties.

So grateful to John and Anthony from for their marvellous donation of €3442 which they collected in aid of SOSAD Laois this New Year's Day. We had a brilliant day with them and it was heartening to see so much support for them.and our cause. Thanks also to for their help.on the day in hosting the event.

The grand total for this years New Years Vintage Run was €3422 raised in aid of SOSAD Laois. SOSAD is a very worthy cause providing counselling services to the people of Portlaoise. Thanks again to all who were involved in organising the event, the drivers, volunteers, supporters and The Portlaoise Plaza for hosting us once again.

A huge word of thanks to Brian O'Sullivan who presented a cheque for the whopping total of 1650e to our Laois coordinator Ronan Devaney.

The money was raised by all the participants of the " St. Stephen's Day Astro Soccer". Big shout out to all the groups who took part, Kavanaghs Bar & Venue & Portlaoise Leisure Centre for their continued support. Thanks to all who donated to this fundraiser. All the money raised will help us continue to provide accessable and affordable counselling for those in need in our community.

🚛✨ Light Up Truck & Tractor Run 2025 – Family Fun Additions! ✨🚜

While the trucks & tractors are the main focus this Saturday, we’ve added plenty of extras to make this year’s event magical for all ages:

*Santa’s Grotto – meet Santa & Mrs Claus from 4pm 🎅🤶
*Live music by Willie Bracken from 4pm 🎶
*Special dance performance by Dance on Stage School (as seen at Electric Picnic 💕) 💃
*Children’s colouring station 🖍️
*Face painting 🎨
*Hot beverages ☕
*Hot food & crepes and home baking from 4pm (after the Hares Corner closes)🍴
*Fabulous Christmas display by the Mountmellick Yarn Bombers 🧶✨
*Raffle tickets, hats & light-up flower crowns for children will be on sale 🌸🎟️
*When all is wrapped up, there will be Entertainment for the adults in Turleys after the Run 🍺🥤

🌟 There is no charge for any children’s entertainment — donation buckets will be in the marquees, with all proceeds going to SOSAD Laois💖.
