A Taste of Lyon at Morning Coffee!

Staff enjoyed a delightful mid-morning escape as students who recently travelled to Lyon hosted a French-themed coffee morning in our Conference Centre.

The event featured a fantastic presentation where students shared highlights from their trip, bringing their experiences to life with some fab photos 📸 and personal insights into the culture they explored.

We were also treated to a delicious selection of French-inspired pastries and cakes, along with freshly brewed coffee and tea. The treats were beautifully presented and absolutely délicieux! 🥐

A big well done to everyone involved in organising such a thoughtful and enjoyable event, and thank you to all who joined to support it.

Standing in solidarity with Disability Federation of Ireland for 🚶‍♀️💛

Today we’re proud to support Make Way Day, a campaign highlighting how small actions can make a big difference in creating accessible, inclusive communities for everyone.

It’s especially meaningful for us as we mark one year since we successfully advocated for the installation of vital blind pedestrian signage, not just for our own team, but for the wider blind and visually impaired community. That milestone reminds us how powerful collective voices can be in driving real change.
Making our community safer and more accessible starts with simple, practical steps. Blind pedestrian signs are essential tools, they alert motorists to the presence of visually impaired pedestrians and help people navigate public spaces with greater confidence, independence, and dignity.

But accessibility doesn’t stop there. Cars parked on footpaths create serious barriers for people who are blind, visually impaired, or disabled. They force individuals into unsafe situations, often pushing them onto busy roads. A clear path isn’t a convenience, it’s a necessity.

Today, and every day, we ask everyone to be mindful:
✔️ Keep footpaths clear
✔️ Respect accessible signage
✔️ Think about how your actions impact others

Together, we can build a community where everyone can move freely and safely.

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream! 🍦

We had a fantastic afternoon today celebrating BUA’s one-year anniversary with a very welcome treat: free ice cream for all!

The students in one of our houses made the most of it, enjoying every moment (and every scoop!) in the sunshine. It was the perfect way to mark such a special milestone.

A huge congratulations to the team at BUA on an amazing first year, we’re so lucky to have you as part of the ChildVision community 👏
