Are you a passionate and experienced Senior Clinical/Educational Psychologist looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people?

At ChildVision, you'll have the opportunity to work as part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team supporting children and young people aged 0-18 with visual impairment and additional needs. This is a rewarding senior role where you'll help shape services, support families, provide clinical leadership, and make a lasting impact every day.

Permanent, part-time position (4 days per week)
Salary: €98,493 - €115,772 (full-time equivalent)

Are you a practical, hands-on problem solver who takes pride in a job well done? We are looking for a General Operative / Maintenance Team Member to help keep our campus, facilities and grounds safe, welcoming and operating at their best.

This is a varied and rewarding role involving:
• General maintenance and repairs
• Painting and decorating
• Basic carpentry and plumbing
• Grounds and garden maintenance
• Building upkeep and refurbishment projects

As part of the ChildVision team, you'll play an important role in supporting children and young people with vision impairment and complex needs by helping to maintain the environment where they learn, grow and thrive.

We were delighted to welcome Cllr Clodagh Ní Mhuirí and Councillor Ray McAdam to ChildVision today.

It was a pleasure to share more about the work we do to support children and young people who are blind or vision impaired, and to provide a tour of our campus and services. We greatly appreciated the opportunity to discuss our work, our ambitions for the future, and the impact these services have on children and families across Ireland.

Discover the latest in assistive technology!

We're delighted that Niamh and Katie will be representing Reading Services and ChildVision at the Sight and Sound Technology Roadshow in TU Dublin, Grangegorman, on Monday 12 October.

This free exhibition brings together organisations, researchers and technology providers to showcase innovative solutions that support people who are blind or vision impaired. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore assistive technology, learn about the latest developments in accessibility, and connect with services from across the sector.

We're delighted to help promote The Accessible Appointment, a workshop from Beeutiful Minds exploring neurodiversity and how small changes can make a big difference for clients.

Designed for hairdressers, barbers, beauty therapists, fitness instructors, massage therapists and other client-facing professionals, this session will cover:

How to ask what supports a client may need

What a fantastic day at The Magic of Stories: Fingal Festival of Children’s Literature 2026 in Swords Castle!

Last Saturday, Aideen, Niamh and Joanna from our Reading Services team were delighted to represent ChildVision at this wonderful celebration of children's books, imagination and storytelling.

This was our fourth year attending the festival, giving us the opportunity to share how we make stories accessible for children and young people with visual impairments through braille, tactile, sensory and large print formats.

A particular highlight, as always, was our 'Your Name in Braille' activity. It was lovely to see so many visitors proudly wearing their names in braille and learning more about accessible reading.

A huge thank you to Fingal Libraries for inviting us to be part of such a special event, and to everyone who stopped by our stand to chat, learn and show their support. We are already looking forward to next year!

Join Féach Family Day 2026!

We're delighted to help spread the word about this fantastic event from Féach , taking place on Saturday, 17 October at the Midlands Park Hotel, Portlaoise.

This year's Family Day features a keynote talk from Dr Joan Ryan, an experienced optometrist with over 30 years of clinical practice, who will help parents better understand eye tests, vision measurements and how to confidently explain their child's vision needs to those supporting them.

You'll also hear inspiring real-life experiences from young people with vision impairments, including:

Jordan Pearcy on studying Computer Science and his experience studying abroad in Germany
Grace Gavin on transitioning from school to college and building independence
Conor Clifford on youth advocacy, disability rights and leadership
Allanah Moriarty on her journey through post-primary education as a Braille user

There will also be opportunities to meet service providers, including ChildVision, learn about assistive technology, and connect with other families. Plus, a supervised children's room with arts, crafts and games will ensure young attendees can have fun while parents enjoy the presentations.
