We are delighted and grateful to receive a Community Awards Scheme 2026 grant from Wicklow County Council.

🗣Your Voice Matters: Join our Conversation on Banking Access & Financial Issues

💶 At a time when banking access and cash services are becoming an increasingly important national conversation, our upcoming Mid-Year Members Gathering will create space for community groups to share their experiences and shape discussions on banking and financial challenges.

With growing recognition of the difficulties many people face accessing cash and banking services locally and new opportunities for the public to raise concerns directly with the Central Bank this conversation could not come at a more important time.

We are pleased that a representative from the Central Bank will be present to hear directly from community groups, ahead of Wicklow PPN meeting with the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank in July.

We want to hear about the real experiences facing community groups based in Co. Wicklow and communities from opening community group bank accounts and accessing everyday banking services, to challenges around credit, sustainability, and the impact these barriers have on local communities.

Your experiences, concerns, and solutions can help shape future conversations and influence change.

💥 Craic in the Granite 2026 💥

We're delighted to announce that this year's festival will take place on Friday 24th and Saturday 25th July!

A huge thank you to everyone who continues to support Craic in the Granite. ❤️

Our festival is free and open to everyone, but it can only happen with the support of local businesses and our community.

We are currently looking for sponsors, donations, and spot prizes to help make this year's festival possible.

As a non-profit organisation, all funds go directly towards musicians, artists, workshops, activities, medical cover, insurance, and festival costs.

As part of our ACE Family Fun Day on Sunday, 12th July, we're inviting local community groups, charities, clubs, support services, social enterprises, and businesses to come along and showcase the fantastic work you do in our community.

This is a FREE event with FREE exhibitor space, offering a great opportunity to connect with local families and raise awareness of your organisation or business.

Please note: this is a community showcase event. Businesses are very welcome to attend and promote their services, however selling on the day will not be permitted.

For World MS Day (Saturday 30th May) the East Wicklow Branch of Multiple Sclerosis Ireland will have an information desk in Bridgewater Shopping Centre Arklow from 9am to 6pm. Volunteers from East Wicklow Branch will be there to answer your questions and hand out support materials for people living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and their families. We will also have a fundraising collection if anyone is in a position to or wishes to donate to our branch by cash or by card. Thank you for your support and see you there!
