Save Our Hedgerows In December 2019, "Save Our Hedgerows" group was founded as a response to recent dramatic increases in hedgerow removal across South Tipperary.

Our primary goals are to promote hedgerow preservation and to reduce levels of unnecessary hedgerow removal.

Hedgerows Ireland were key witnesses in this case which concluded today in Clonmel Circuit Court. Given the extent of the hedgerows removed and the breach of a prohibition order one year later we might have expected a higher fine but the good news is that Coolmore have publicly committed to ceasing hedgerow removal. We’ve issued an invitation to work with them on a Tipperary hedgerow rejuvenation project. Watch this space! 🤞
