According to the UN statistics-

🔸️Women earn 77 cents for every dollar men earn for work of equal value – with an even wider wage gap for women with children.

🔸️Women are more likely to be unemployed than men worldwide, with wide disparities regionally.
It is estimated that only 28 per cent of women employed worldwide get to enjoy paid maternity leave.

🔸️Globally, nearly 65 per cent of people above retirement age without any regular pension are women.

🔸️Women carry out at least two and a half times more unpaid household and care work than men.

These percentages are awful 😖 but the more we can educate ourselves about it and stand up for equal pay when we are in a position to do so for ourselves or another woman. We win a little.

We still can't get over the wonderful event we had last week.
The need for migrant women talking about their career and business stories was so inspiring to our team as well as all the members who joined us.
Also, spaces like Workday that support such discussions and are happy to help with the work that we do are always so special.
We also launched our first Migrant Women Mentorship programme with the amazing Annie Chow, and we can't wait to see what all the mentees get up to in the next 6 months.

Please keep a look out on our socials as we have some interesting events lined up.

🎉THANK YOU AGAIN AND SEE EVERYONE SOON 💪🏽
