🚜South Offaly Ploughing Association

In February, we were contacted by the South Offaly Ploughing Association to say that they had chosen us to be their charity for the year we were absolutely thrilled & so grateful.
Myself & Elton went along to Kelly's Bar in Birr, where we were welcomed with open arms & made to feel like VIPs on the night⭐️.
I spoke about how Elton had changed our families life & the amazing work these incredible dogs do & what's involved for all within the Irish Guide Dogs.

We were invited back last night & this time to the quaint homely Dan & Mollys Bar for the presentation of the winners of the Ploughing & to receive a incredibly generous donation of a massive €2800 raised collectively by the association.
We learnt that the funds came from monies raised from the table quiz,donations & money that would have been paid to the contractors for finishing the ploughing of the field but instead generously donated to us🐾

We have met incredibly kind people within this association it's like one big family & it's great to see such solidarity amongst the agricultural community🚜

Of course, puppy in training Bonnie joined us with her amazing puppy raiser Mieke🐾
A word of thanks to Teresa from the Athlone branch for coming along on the night with her lovely ambassador dogs they are no strangers to these events & loved meeting everyone💚

Saturday the 15th of February❤️

With the weekend that's in it, what better way to show your love for our PAWsome pups than dropping by the Charleville Centre from 2-4pm for a cuppa & to meet some future PAWsome stars in training🐾⭐️

Come along to learn more about the incredible work we do and to discover how our adorable puppies grow into resilient, life-changing Guide & Assistance Dogs.

Enjoy a warm cup of tea or coffee and connect with fellow dog lovers.☕️

💫7th February 2024
A table quiz was held by the South Offaly Ploughing Association in support of the Irish Guide Dogs.
Myself & Elton headed along to a great night organised in Kelly's Bar Birr where we met some incredibly kind & wonderful people.
A special thanks to Damien White, the quiz master on the night and Kelly's bar for the lovely food & venue Elton was made feel so welcome & was the star of the night🐾
But most of all, a special thanks to the committee for choosing us as their charity for this year. This means a lot, and all the funds raised will go towards changing the lives of families like ours.

The PAWsome pups are eagerly awaiting Santa Paws' visit tonight🥰

All of our dogs are looking OFFALY well 💚🤍💛 🤭

These dogs are helping to change lives daily💚

They are currently changing the lives of both our incredible children & our families. They do this by giving us support & security in ensuring that our children are kept safe should they decide to bolt by acting as an anchor.⚓️

They promote independence, and this is often seen in our older children who have had their PAWSOME pal for some time🦮

They provide our amazing children with a sense of calm & patience when in busy surroundings or whilst queuing up when carrying out day to day living tasks🛒

Most of all they allow us to get out and about as a family enjoying outings & adventures that most families wouldn't have to think twice about doibg.Including walks,eating out,pet farms maybe a beach day and many many more💚

Sorry we've been so quiet on the page here the last few weeks🤫
Sometimes life just gets a bit chaotic for everyone🤪 Us ladies whom run this are also all mums of amazing kiddies with additional needs & that's where our attention has been needed😊
