Looks like a great event in Kilconly Community Centre tomorrow 👏

Galway County Local Community Safety Partnership is looking forward to meeting
everyone at the ‘Community Comeback Event’ on Friday, 22nd May. We encourage
attendees to call by, take part in our community safety survey, or have an informal
chat with us about safety in their area. .tire, in partnership with the Kilconly
Community Alert Group and An Garda Síochána, is hosting the ‘Community
Comeback' Information Event for the first time in Kilconly, Tuam, Co. Galway. Date:
Friday, 22nd May Time: 2:30pm – 4:30pm Venue: Kilconly Community Centre
(Eircode: H54 C526) Admission: Free and open to the public What to Expect This
event will highlight the wide range of services and supports available to older people
in rural communities. Attendees can enjoy: ✅ Free health checks ✅ Free
refreshments ✅ Free advice and information ✅ Opportunities to meet and chat
with over 30 support organisations Participating groups include: Muintir na Tíre ·An
Garda Síochána (crime prevention & safety) Health
Service Executive (HSE) Safety Authority Ireland,
Vision Ireland (Free Eye Screening Service) Local council services, Credit Unions,
Health Providers, G.R.D. and more About ‘Community Comeback' ✅ Supporting
rural communities ✅ Reaching isolated and vulnerable individuals ✅ Strengthening
local Community Alert groups ✅ Promoting health, safety, and wellbeing Previous
events have had a meaningful impact, helping to improve and even save lives by
connecting people with vital services. This event is part of a broader Community

Essential maintenance works are currently taking place on the Astro facility to ensure it remains a safe and high-quality space for all users. ⚽️🏐

With all the excitement of the Wild West Music Fest over in the village, we would like to congratulate the WWMF team and all the volunteers from local clubs and service initiatives, who made the event an huge success. KCRG, local clubs and initiatives are some of the beneficiaries of the festival, these funds are very much appreciated for the development of services for the local area.
Great to see the windows and doors going into the new recreation centre yesterday. We have exciting news soon as to how you can help the process and progress.

A new week brings more exciting progress on site 👏 Roof sheeting is now really taking shape and the transformation over the past few weeks has been fantastic to see. Huge credit to all contractors and teams working hard to keep the project moving safely and efficiently.
Every week brings us one step closer and we’re looking forward to sharing more updates as work continues 🔨

Work continues on the roof with felt being laid, and the community pitch is currently being assessed to identify the level of essential maintenance needed.

Information Session Tomorrow!
Just a quick reminder to everyone that our information session is taking place tomorrow. This is a great opportunity to hear important updates, share your thoughts, and be part of the conversation to help us to meet the community’s needs, in the NEW recreation centre being currently built, at Fitz’s Field.
We urge parents of children using the facility and the wider community to come along to see the exciting plans for the facility. This is not just a sports facility, this aims to be a central hub in Kilconly for generations to come.
