Hello all, We are a third year group from the Food, Nutrition and Business Management course in St. Angelas, College, Sligo. For one of our modules we have to hold a fundraiser for a charity of our choice, for our charity we have chosen Samaritans. Samaritans is a charity organisation who provide emotional support to anyone who is struggling, in distress, or feeling suicidal.
They offer a 24/7 confidential. Helpline where people can talk about their feelings without judgement and they aim to reduce the stigma around mental health and su***de through awareness campaigns and advocacy.
For our fund raiser we are hoping to hold a fun Bingo night in a pub in Sligo town. We will be doing 5 rounds of fun bingo including rounds like music bingo, guess the celebrity and much more. We will also doing a raffle on the night with plenty of exciting prizes. We hope to have this take place mid November but date & venu is to be confirmed at a later date.
For anyone who can not attend and would still like to show support to Samaritans we hope to have a donation link up and running soon which will be posted to our story and linked in the bio.
