The organisation provides a diverse range of programmes and services to meet the needs of the local and wider community both young and old. The Avalon Centre endeavours to achieve it's mission by:

- offering social day services for older adults to improve their well-being and quality of life, promote independent living and to

help them to continue living in their own community
- enhancing the outcomes of early childhood and school age children and their families, supporting their social development and life-long learning and helping break the cycle of deprivation.
- delivering extra-curricular activities for children and young people with special needs to help enhance their communication skills, improve self-confidence and promote social inclusion and integration.
- improving the lives of children and young people by delivering programmes and activities that aid their personal and social development.
- empowering service users and their families, helping develop their confidence and self-esteem through informed choice and shared decision making.
- providing a safe, inclusive facility for social, recreational and educational purposes for the local and wider community.
- providing facilities for training courses, cultural activities, leisure and education classes and meetings for community & voluntary organisations.

Looking for a rewarding way to spend your summer? The Avalon Centre is seeking enthusiastic Youth Support Staff Volunteers to help with Children's Summer Camps this July.
Join in creating unforgettable experiences for children aged 6–14 through sports, games, arts and crafts, drama, music, swimming and exciting day trips to Galway and Donegal.
As a volunteer, you'll help ensure children stay safe, supported and engaged while having fun in a relaxed and positive environment. Whether you can give one week or the full month, your time can make a real difference.
