We are pleased to announce our Production Team for our 2027 production of 'Jesus Christ Superstar'.

Director: Derek Shannon 🎬
Derek has been a member of New Ross Musical Society since 1990, performing cameo and leading roles, and over the years has been a committee member and the society's Chairperson. Jesus Christ Superstar will be our eleventh production under Derek's direction.

Choreographer: Anne Marie Cooney 💃
Anne Marie has been a member of New Ross Musical Society since 1989 and has been involved in every single production since, making her our longest serving active member. Since taking on the role as choreographer in 1995, she has shaped the vibrant energy of our productions for the last 30 years!

Musical Director: Andrew Lane 🎶
Andrew joined our society for our production of 'Fiddler on the Roof' and has joined us on stage each year since. His recent portrayal of Bill Snibson in our 2026 production of 'Me & My Girl' has landed him with an AIMS Nomination for Best Comedian. We are thrilled to welcome him to our production team for our 2027 production.

Best of luck to all of our AIMS friends around the island as we eagerly await the nominations this evening! Every society should be exceptionally proud of any show they got to the stage this year. 🌟

We do this for the love of musical theatre and for our audiences but no harm to pick up some nominations along the way! 🎭

Our hearts are with Blánaid and everyone at Nomac Productions following the devastating fire at Tycor Business Park last night.

The loss of so many treasured costumes is truly heartbreaking. Nomac has been such an important part of NRMS productions over the years. Blánaid and her team’s creativity, support, and expertise have meant so much to us and to so many societies across the country. We are especially thinking of Donna, our member, and her colleagues.

Hi Folks,
After over 40 years in business, we are devastated to announce that the fire that engulfed the Tycor business centre last night, affecting so many businesses, has caused devastation to Nomac productions that has left our building in ruins. We are yet to learn the full extent of the damage, but we know that the loss we have suffered is immeasurable. Over 50,000 costumes, many handmade by us and many vintage and historical pieces that hold not only endless memories for us, but endless memories for all of those who have worn them, from here in Waterford to across the entire country. We are simply devastated.

We would like to express our endless gratitude to the Fire and Emergency services who have worked tirelessly for the last two days to control the blaze. Their bravery and dedication in the face of this danger is truly admirable, and we are deeply thankful for their courage and sacrifice.

We don't yet know what this means for Nomac Productions, and we will be figuring out those steps over the coming weeks. We know that this will be as confusing and scary for us as it is for all of you. However, we know that Nomac productions is so much more than the Warehouse and workroom we have lost. It is our amazing clients who have trusted us with their visions for over 40 years. It is the endlessly talented and committed staff that have brought Nomac to life, Jenna, Donna and Dawn . It is the community that has supported us and uplifted our business since the very beginning. It is our families, friends, suppliers, supporters and everyone who has donned a Nomac costume to deliver a performance.

Thank you for all the messages of support over the last few days, and throughout the years.

All at New Ross Musical Society extend our deepest sympathies to Helen and Donna Bradley on the sad passing of John. Our thoughts are with you both and your extended family at this very difficult time. May he rest in peace.

John Bradley
Knockavilla, New Ross, Co. Wexford.

John passed away peacefully on the 5th May 2026, he is predeceased by his loving son Colin and mother Johanna. Sadly missed by his loving wife Helen, daughter Donna, father Charlie, Donna's partner Jamie, brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

May His Gentle Soul Rest in Peace.

Reposing at Cooney's Funeral Home, New Ross, (eircode: Y34 FK44) on Thursday, May 7th from 4pm concluding at 7pm.
Removal on Friday, May 8th to St. Mary & Michael's Parish Church, New Ross, arriving for funeral mass at 10am followed by a cremation committal ceremony at Cooney's Funeral Home.

🎭 **Musical Society AGM Announcement** 🎭

Our Annual General Meeting will take place on **Thursday 14th May at 8:30pm** in the Geraldine O’Hanrahan GAA Clubhouse.

We warmly welcome all current members, as well as anyone interested in getting involved with the society.
