Patrickswell Community Council CLG would like to express our deepest and most sincere sympathies to the family of Tony Quinn.
As a founding member of Patrickswell Community Council over 26 years ago, Tony remained committed to the organisation throughout the years, continuing to serve as a member of the Board of Directors.
Tony gave so willingly of his time and energy, and nowhere was this more evident than in his dedication to both the Community Council over the 26 years and, in more recent years, our new Community Centre. Whenever help was needed, Tony was always ready to step forward.
Many people will remember Tony from our weekly 45 Drive every Thursday evening in the old Resource House and in recent years, on Tuesday nights, where there was always plenty of laughter and good conversation in his company.
Tony also played a leading role in organising our Annual Donkey Derby and more recently, our Annual Tractor Run. These events brought so many people together over the years, creating lasting memories through friendship, laughter and great company.
Tony will be remembered by all who knew him for his incredible work ethic, his quick wit and above all, his kindness and generosity. He gave so much of himself, both through his time and financially, and his contribution to our community was truly invaluable.
He will be greatly missed by everyone whose lives he touched.
