Meet Max

A stunning Blue Fronted Amazon who has recently joined the rescue family to find himself a new home

I must admit to having a bit of a lump in my throat as I post this.
Today we see two of our long standing residents off to pastures new.
We would never keep a bird here where they had a better offer where they can have more than we can give.
So Harley and Darling have had the most amazing home offer, it is with someone who’s had macaws for 40 years, they really will be living the dream.
I wish them the best in their new home but this will be a tough day. They are saying chatting away to each other in English as I type lol. And Harley’s had hold of my trousers when loading up LOL!

LOOKING FOR A NEW HOME
Hey folks!!
Meet me Lulu girl
I'm a beautiful female Blue and Gold macaw where I have now finished my foster assessment and now looking for a new home

I'm 6/7 years old

I came in to rescue as I over bonded with my mom and started to become very aggressive to the rest of my family

Since being in rescue I have had company of other birds and enjoy that

I'm not phased by little dogs

I can chatter away, I can do tricks, high 5 etc

I love toys, paper, tubes, boxes etc

I eat well and can become very vocal at teatime

I'm a mommy's girl so looking for a new lady keeper

preferably someone with big bird experience

I seem to like to want my own way but I've started to learn my manners

Since being in rescue as I'm a macaw I've had my standard health check & microchip with our avian vet, I've also had additional blood tests to test for a breathing condition called aspergellosis, where due to previous foods and environments I may of been exposed to during my life fungal spores can collect & line my air sacks causing me difficulty in breathing

My results came back as borderline Aspergellosis with a clear Xray with no further treatment needed

I am very friendly and a steady bird once I get to know you and give you my trust

I need and enjoy lots of time out of my cage on a daily basis

Anyone who wishes to offer me a new home please check the comments section to apply and include details about the kind of home you can provide.

That's all folks
Love Lulu
Thank you

LOOKING FOR A NEW HOME
Meet us Bobbie & Ria, a very special disabled duo/African greys who have been returned back to the rescue after a number of years sadly due to increased work commitments

We are now looking for a new home together

Me, Bobby I'm very loveable when I get to know you
I have bent legs which was caused when i was a baby but doesn't effect me from getting around
I do a flying lap around the room but im not the best flyer
I will give kisses and make lots of different sounds
I've never bin a talker so I'm abit quieter in the evenings
I love my fresh fruit and veg daily and I've been on mixed seed since coming here

I'm Ria, I'm abit more reserved then Bobby
I will after abit of convincing will come out and have a fuss
I have bent legs too, I dont get around as much as Bobbie & I don't balance on normal perches properly so flat perches are better for me
I like to sit on my bowl
I talk alot with loads of different phrases and conversations
Again i love food & eat the same as Bobby
Can you offer me & my pal a home?

Anyone wanting to offer me or my friend a home can you please check the comments section to apply and include details about the kind of home you can provide.

That's all for now folks
Love Bobbie & Ria

NEW ARRIVAL
Sone of the very long standing members may remember this little pair Gerty and Berty who have been our birds for several years but sadly the lady who adopted them has lung cancer so they have had to be returned.
They are friendly handleable birds, but haven't been out in a while due to her illness so they wil have a bit of a refresher while staying with Courtney and her mum Victoria in foster.
They are still stepping up so I don’t expect any issues.
No rehoming applications at this time please thanks

This is Oogie
Apparently he’s got plans for this medicine syringe he’s running off with😂. He is our youngest Quaker, & the other 4 are paired off, & exclude him. They’re very much more interested in each other, & not us humans… but Oogie is very human bonded. We’re working on recall training with him, & harness training to come hopefully! He loves coming around on a shoulder
