Saturday November The 14th Philip Woodnut will run the Clontarf Half Marathon All In Aid of
Our Community Project 🥳🙌🏃‍♂️💨

On Saturday, November 14th, 2026, I'll be lacing up to run the Clontarf Half Marathon along Clontarf Promenade and Bull Island. I'm running it to raise funds for a cause close to home: a new, inclusive play area for the children of Newcastle, County Wicklow.

Every euro I raise on this run will go directly toward completing this project, so imagine: children laughing and playing together, grandparents having a quiet chat on a bench, parents meeting while their kids explore, and neighbours connecting in a space designed for everyone.

21.1km is a small effort next to what this playground will mean for Newcastle's families for generations to come. Whether you can give €5 or €50, every donation gets me — and this project — closer to the finish line. Thank you for your support!

This October Bank Holiday weekend will be my 6th time running the Dublin City Marathon and my 5th year in a row. I’d love your help and support to raise money for Newcastle's Community Recreation & Play Area.

As a father of 2 small girls, having a playground in our local community has been amazing and I’m delighted to help raise money to support the development of the new playground. Since moving to Newcastle we’ve spent hours at the old playground and it has brought so much joy to our eldest daughter Éabha, who you might have seen hogging the swings! It’s also been a fantastic way to socialise and meet other parents in the community.

Thank you for your support and donations.
Darragh
