This photo of the Heart Nebula IC 1805 is shortlisted in the reach for the stars competition organised by the school of cosmic physics at the Dublin Institute for advanced studies. Our Paul in Mountmellick Camera Club who took this picture earlier in the year when cold and frost like conditions prevailed, will give a talk about the techniques and challenges of astrophotography on Midlands Radio 103. Please do have a look at the shortlisted photos on the website reach for the stars.ie, and where you will have an opportunity to vote on whichever photo you like. Voting closes at 5pm on 13th July.
