Following our Committee meeting last night, presentations were made to two long serving members of the Mountbellew Community Centre.
Secretary Phil Keating and former Secretary Maureen Meehan presented Michael Hughes, who served as Treasurer for over 40 years, and currently holds position of Asst Treasurer, with some Galway Crystal and a voucher.
Chairperson Sean O’Neill and Treasurer Tony McDonnell present PJ Meehan with Galway Crystal and a voucher. PJ has also been part of the Committee for over 40 years and served for almost 30 years as both Chairperson and Vice Chairperson.
Both men were complimented and applauded for their dedication and commitment to the Community Centre and the wider community.
The evening concluded with a cup of tea and refreshments, with both men recounting stories of their experiences over the many years.

The Community Centre is very thankful to Ali O’Hanlon and In-Step Stage School for their recent very generous donation from two nights of raffle at their recent show in Ballinasloe. Ali and her team are long term clients of the Community Centre and we look forward to continuing to accommodate for many years to come.

The Committee of Mountbellew Community Centre wish to extend their deepest sympathy to the Walsh family, Mountbellew on the death of their father Adrian. Adrian was part of the Community Centre for many many years and oversaw great progression and changes to the Centre in that time. He will be greatly missed by all. May his gentle soul rest in peace
