Thank you to Scoil Náisiúnta an Chroí Naofa, Glounthaune , to Principal Mr Damien Irwin and Class teacher Mr Johnny Comer for welcoming Nuala and Anita to meet the the 6th Class students and their teachers who organised a cake sale and raised a fantastic € 2131 for sports gear for our club.

A very special Thank you to Olivia & Lorcan Kennedy children to our Floorball Volunteer Deirdre Kennedy. Olivia and Lorcan nominated our club as beneficiaries of the fundraiser.

During the visit, The pupils were invited to ask questions about our club and our activities, and they participated in a great discussion and were very keen to learn about our sports. Thanks to Nuala and Anita for attending and answering all the enthusiastic questions from the pupils.

A huge congratulations to all our amazing athletes who participated in the Special Olympics Munster Athletics Qualifier event at the MTU Athletics track on Saturday, 7th June. Our athletes displayed incredible determination and skill, each participating in two events: 200m, 100m, 50m, and 25m races.

Our families had an incredible time, and the day was made even better by the dedication and support of our wonderful volunteers and coaches. It was a huge team effort, resulting in great personal bests and podium medals coming home to East Cork Abilities. We are so proud of everyone's accomplishments and the spirit they showed throughout the event.

Well done to Special Olympics Munster Athletics for organizing such a well-run event. We hope to see even more of you at our next event.

Congratulations to our athletes who travelled to Co Kerry with their families last week to take part in the non-qualifying athletics day in Castleisland on April 26th. Thank you to our amazing volunteers who travelled down to support the athletes and help with the event - We are very grateful 🙏.
