The Maynooth 1916 Centenary Committee

The Maynooth 1916 Centenary Committee 'The Maynooth 1916 Centenary Committee' is a community group set up by local organisations to organise an annual 1916 commemoration in Maynooth.

We are STRICTLY a non political organisation. We are made up of representatives from St. Mary's Band Maynooth, 8th Kildare Maynooth scouts, the Maynooth History society and Ex-Defence Forces organisations. Our aim is to organisation a commemoration for the people by the people, in honour of the men that marched from Maynooth into Dublin for the 1916 rising.
