Congratulations and thank you Lusk Sports CLG 👏

We would like to congratulate Lusk Sports CLG on the commencement of the sports hub development works.
Although this is one of the major projects in the Lusk for Life, Town Centre First plan, it comes after many years of consultation and collaboration between the sports clubs affiliated with Lusk Sports CLG (formerly the Lusk2020 Sports Group) and Fingal County Council.

This project is the culmination of many years of hard work, commitment, and determination by those who have participated in or represented their clubs and schools throughout the process.

Lusk Sports CLG would like to acknowledge the contribution of Lusk Athletics Club, Round Towers GAA Club, Lusk United, Fingal Triathlon Club, Lusk Community Council, the principals of both Lusk Community College and Rush and Lusk Educate Together National School.

They would like to thank Fingal County Council, AnnMarie Farrelly (CEO), Kevin Halpenny, Liam Campbell and their colleagues in the Parks Department for their continued engagement and professionalism throughout all stages of the project. They also recognise our local councillors for their support during the planning and funding stages.

The contractor will begin site set-up and secure the works area with temporary fencing from the week beginning 24th August 2026. Pedestrian detours will be in place for the duration of the
works, which are expected to last approximately 11 months.

The project includes:
• A full-sized floodlit all-weather pitch and 8-lane athletics track
• An extended car park
• A floodlit all-weather Go Games/training area and ball wall
• A Teen Space
• Landscaping and associated facilities, including storage and bicycle parking

To minimise disruption, a reduced-size GAA pitch will be made available at the northern end of the park before construction begins. Alternative pitch allocations have also been arranged
through [email protected] for the Athletics and Soccer Clubs.

The works are programmed to be substantially completed by July 2027.

We very much look forward to the completion of the project, which will be a huge asset to our community. Congratulations and thank you once again to everyone who has been involved over many years to bring this very ambitious project to life.

All are welcome to attend. Monday 24th August at 7pm in the Saint Macullins Centre.

All are welcome to attend. Monday 24th August at 7pm in the Saint Macullins Centre.

The next Community Forum meeting will be held tomorrow, Monday 24th August in the Saint Macullins Centre from 7pm till 8,30pm.
The Forum is a chance for local groups, businesses and people from across Lusk to come together, share ideas and help shape what happens in our town. It’s open, community-led and all about working together to:
- Bring people together to set up working groups for the delivery of projects from the Lusk for Life Town Centre First Plan
- Make sure the community has a real say in how local projects are delivered
- Help everyone connect, share updates, share resources and work more effectively together
- Create more opportunities for people to meet, feel included and build trust across the community
- Coordinate events and make it easier for volunteers to get involved
- Back ideas and initiatives that benefit the whole town
- Help make Lusk an even better place to live for everyone
It is very important that your group, club or business is represented. All are welcome to attend, including the wider community.

A great success today! Well done to the Lusk Farmer’s Market committee! 👏

We are looking forward to our first Farmers Market tomorrow morning, which will begin a three-week trial in Lusk on Saturdays August 22nd and 29th and September

There are 28 projects in the Lusk for Life, Town Centre First plan, one of which is the development of a new Lusk Farmer’s Market. This will be an exciting way to showcase our rich food heritage, while also giving local food producers, crafters and artists room to grow.
The Farmer’s Market pilot is being run by a volunteer sub-group of Lusk Town Team, with the support of Fingal County Council, Lusk Action Group and Murray’s Pub.

We encourage you to use public transport, walk or cycle if possible, parking will be made available by Lusk Community Council in the Cottage Community Centre:

Location: Murray’s Pub Carpark
From 9:30am -1:00pm

Lusk is working towards being Autism Friendly Town and in line with that we will have a social story available at the market, ear defenders and bracelets.
