Volunteers urgently needed to continue running the parent and toddler group.

Hi all,
The parent & toddler group will be back on next Monday and will run for three more weeks with the last session being on Monday 22nd June.

Most of us who help with the setup of the group will be finished this year as our little ones move on to Montessori in September.

For the group to continue there will need to be some volunteers to take over the running of the group. This will involve setup and cleanup each Monday as well as some admin/paperwork to secure the grant from Fingal Co Co each year.

If you are interested in volunteering please let us know, the more volunteers there are the easier it is on everyone.
Spread the word about the group & hopefully we can ensure its continuation for the community.

💙 Morning Lusk 💙

Saturday May 23rd

Today will start with some sunshine before cloud increases later. Temperatures around **19°C**, with a mild evening ahead. There is also a **Met Éireann Yellow Blight Advisory** in place for Dublin, so growers and allotment holders may want to take note.

💙 Lusk Community Forum Meeting Monday at 7:00pm 💙

Our next **Community Forum meeting** takes place on **Monday 25th May** from **7pm to 9pm** in the **Saint Macullin’s Centre**, beside the Round Tower.

We are asking **all local groups, clubs, organisations and community representatives** to make sure they have someone attending.

Has your group or club ever needed help with an event? Extra volunteers? The loan of a projector or equipment? Advice on applying for a grant? Help promoting an activity? Support with fundraising, printing, stewarding, insurance, risk assessments or finding a venue?

This is exactly the kind of practical support we hope the Community Forum can help with going forward — local groups helping each other, sharing experience and working together.

As community groups, our voice is stronger when more of us are speaking together.

The Forum is also an important way for the community to give **guidance, feedback and support** to the volunteers working on the **Town Centre First projects** for Lusk.

Current projects include:

• **Identity & Wayfinding**
• **Streetscape improvements**
• **Edible Streetscapes**
• **Farmers Market development**
• **Tourism and heritage development**
• **Community communications and engagement**

So far, **€195,000 has been secured** to help deliver these projects for Lusk.

These projects are about improving the quality of life for everyone in our town and making sure what is delivered is **fit for purpose for the whole community**.

There will only be a few of these meetings each year, so if every group and club could make a little effort to attend, it would make a real difference.

If groups are not represented, then their voice may not be heard.

Let’s all work together to develop Lusk in a positive, joined-up and community-led way.

We are looking for volunteers to help set up a Foróige club for neurodivergent teenagers in Lusk. This club will only go ahead if we have enough adults willing to get involved and support it.

No prior experience is needed - full training and ongoing support will be provided by Foróige.

This is a chance to:
•⁠ ⁠Support neurodivergent teens in a safe, inclusive space
•⁠ ⁠Help build confidence, friendships and life skills
•⁠ ⁠Be part of something positive in your local community

Come along to the information evening on the 21st - there’s no obligation, just an opportunity to find out what’s involved. Let’s make this happen for our teens!
