As summer winds down, here’s a little throwback to July with our 2nd annual Louth Scout County Raft Race! ⚓️🏴‍☠️

Huge Bravo to 7th Louth Coastal on taking the win. Well done to everyone who took part & to those who helped organise! 🌊⚜️

Definitely one worth remembering - brilliant fun was had by all (including the leaders by the looks of it!)😅⭐️

Calling all our sections to get outdoors this summer and take part in our Summer Photo Challenge📸📸

• Scouts & Ventures: Capture a sunrise or sunset together.
• Beavers & Cubs:Enjoy a scenic hike and snap the viewpoint.

To enter, send us:
• One photo from your adventure
• A short reflection from a youth member about what being outdoors means to them and how it supports their wellbeing 💚

2 winners (one in each category) will each receive a €100 voucher.

Blackrock beavers kindly hosted Buíon Setanta Scout Group Dundalk - 5th Louth beavers to an afternoon of fun, games & toasting marshmallows on Blackrock Beach as a part of the Better Together Badge Initiative🤩🌊

Plenty of smiles and making of new friendships were made⭐️🤝

A true Scout knows that getting lost is just an unexpected adventure. So if an exam question unfamiliar and is off the marked trail, stay calm, follow your bearings, and don’t pitch your tent in panic! ⭐️🥾

Trust your training, keep moving, and see where the trail takes you.

Remember our motto, “Be Prepared” …it isn’t about having all the answers; it’s about facing the challenge and doing your best with what you’ve got⚜️🤩

Bravo to St Oliver's Scout Group Drogheda, 3rd/4th/6th Louth and St. Patrick's Scout Group 1st/2nd/5th Louth 1st Louth Scouts on completing half of their Better Together Badge recently!🤩

Hosted at Collon Campsite by St. Oliver’s, the scouts spent the weekend hiking, hammocking, orienteering, cooking on open fires and, most importantly, building new friendships through scouting🏕️🧭

A great example of the Better Together initiative in action! 🤝🌲

This evening Buíon Setanta Scout Group Dundalk - 5th Louth beavers invited 8th Louth Slieve Foy beavers to Ravensdale Forest as they worked together on their Better Together Badge! 🦫🤝

The Beavers enjoyed shelter building, enjoyed some backwoods cooked hot dogs, and lots of fun while making new friendships along the way🏕️

A special bravo to 8th Louth Beavers on being the 1st section in the county on completing the full Better Together Badge set - fantastic achievement! 👏

Big Bravos for our challenge champions! 🤩🤩

Congratulations to Ventures from on winning the 2026 Louth Scout County Urban Challenge in Belfast! 🌍🧭

And a huge well done to 2nd Louth Cubs for taking home the title at the 2026 County Cub Challenge🐺👏

Awards were presented at County Camp last weekend - a brilliant celebration of teamwork, adventure, and Scout spirit! 💚⚜️
