Louth Scout County is delighted to congratulate Gerry Byrne from St. Patrick's Scout Group 1st/2nd/5th Louth, on receiving the Order of Cú Chulainn Award🎖️⚜️
The Order of Cú Chulainn Award is the highest award a serving member can receive in Scouting Ireland, recognising exceptional dedication, leadership and service. Only a select few members receive this prestigious award each year, making Gerry’s achievement truly special. 👏
With over 35 years in Scouting, with his commitment and guidance, Gerry has given incredible service to generations of young people in Dundalk area, helping them develop and flourish. Gerry also helped with Patrol and Assistant Patrol Leader training, which helps youth develop valuable leadership skills, build confidence, take on responsibility, and support younger members of the group. He played a vital role in the re-establishment of the 5th Louth Scout Section in 2012, which has since achieved Phoenix Challenge qualifications in 2015, 2016 & 2017, and has served as Group Leader of St. Patrick’s among many other leadership positions throughout the years both in Louth Scout County and North Eastern province.
A very well-deserved Order of Cú Chulainn Award. Bravoissmo Gerry, and thank you for 35+ years of outstanding service!💚
This contribution was recognised at St. Patrick’s recent Award & Graduation Ceremony, where the award was presented by the Chief Scout Eoin the Chief Scout ⚜️
