THE NERVE is a charity event aimed at making money for Multiple Sclerosis Ireland (MS Ireland)
“Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a demyelinating disease in which the insulating covers of nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord are damaged.” - Thanks Wikipedia. It affects ten thousand people in Ireland and a massive 2.5 million worldwide. It is a progressive disease and currently does not have a cure
. The event is being run by (us) Geoffrey Carmody and Mary O’Connor. The plan is to run the Limerick marathon after just four months of training for it. The race starts the Sunday April 30th. We are going to try and get help along the way from anyone that would like to get involved. You can help by giving a hand on certain fund raising days, joining into the run with us (half or full marathon) or even getting into our weekly videos. We would love if you would send in anything you might make or recorded in order to generate as much excitement around fundraising for MS. If you want to make a video yourself and send it in to support us and the end goal then even better! The aim is to create an active social media presence including videos that people can view and follow along with. We will post our Training Plans and Eating Plans online so everyone can get involved.
