Dates for the diaries - Hello, How Are You? Newcastle West
When: Wednesday 13th 2026 11am, Market House V42 Y425

Hello, How Are You? is a campaign in May about connecting with those around us and engaging in open conversations about mental health. It’s about asking the question, ‘How Are You?’ with meaning, and really listening to the response.

We will be joined by Cillian Keane (Development Officer) from Mental Health Ireland who will give a short talk called 'Conversations that Connect'.

Join us with our colleagues from West Limerick Mental Health Association and Newcastle West Women's Shed who are co-hosting this wonderful community event. A cuppa, chat and good community connection guaranteed. 😃

Supported by West Limerick Mental Health Association and SICAP.
The Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme (SICAP) is co-funded by the Irish Government, through the Department of Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht, and the European Social Fund Plus under the Employment, Inclusion, Skills and Training (EIST) Programme 2021 -2027.

Our community was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Brendan Brosnan, Templeglantine, RIP who died tragically following a workplace accident in our parish.

As a mark of respect and to extend our sincere sympathies to Brendan’s family and loved ones, a book of condolence has been opened at St. Bartholomew’s Church, Athea this evening and will remain in place over the weekend. All are welcome to call and sign the book which will be presented to his family next week.

A wreath of flowers will also be laid at the scene of the accident on behalf of the Athea Community, in remembrance of Brendan.

Our sincere sympathies to all who mourn the loss of Brendan. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dìlis.
