A huge thank you to everyone who came along to our screening of Palestine 36 in Scioból an Phobail last night 🇵🇸❤️

It was a powerful evening of film, food, discussion and solidarity. The history explored in Palestine 36 is deeply important, highlighting the realities of colonialism, resistance and the ongoing struggle for justice faced by the Palestinian people. As Irish people, these stories resonate strongly with many of us through our own history, especially while part of our own island still remains under British occupation.

Thanks again to Burrito Loco Mexican Grill for generously sponsoring the food, Leo’s Tavern for their support and Ian Smith for his beautiful music.

A massive thank you to our guest speaker Fadl Mustapha for educating us and sharing his lived experience of the injustices Palestinian people face today.

Join us at Scioból an Phobail Saturday, May 23rd for a special screening of Palestine 36, a powerful historical drama set during the Palestinian uprising against British rule in 1936.

The evening will also include:

With Ireland’s own history of colonisation, and the reality that six counties remain under British rule today, many Irish people understand the lasting impact colonialism can have on language, land, culture and community. These stories are important to hear, share and stand alongside.
