On Culture Night, Friday 18th September, Brian Patrick Nally performs a collection of songs plucked from the hollows, meadows, and cracked beauty of this unique landscape. A celebration of its flora, fauna, folklore, and the enduring connection between people and place.

In the unique atmosphere of Newtown Castle, this intimate performance explores the connections between music and place. Free but space is limited and booking essential.

🦋📊 Huge thanks to Jesmond Harding from Butterfly Conservation Ireland for sharing his expertise and training the Burrenbeo Conservation Volunteers to set up butterfly transects and record butterflies in their own localities.

Butterfly recording through citizen science is an important conservation tool. Butterflies are indicators of environmental health and they can help us track changes in biodiversity, habitat quality, and the impacts of climate change.

Would you like to get involved in hands-on conservation, learn new skills, meet like-minded people, and enjoy the outdoors? Find out more and become a Burrenbeo Conservation Volunteer: www.burrenbeo.com/bcv

Some of the beautiful work created at The Global Ecologies Studio summer school at the Burren College of Art.

Over four inspiring weeks, students immersed themselves in the unique landscape of the Burren, exploring the intersection of art and ecology through an interdisciplinary programme of studio practice, place-based learning and scientific inquiry. The Burren became both classroom and collaborator - inviting participants to slow down, observe closely, and discover new ways of thinking about the role of art in climate action.

🌍🎨 The Global Ecologies Studio summer school has come to a close, hosted by the Burren College of Art and co-led by Burrenbeo Trust.

Special thanks to co-tutor Maryann Worrell and to the many stewards of the Burren who so generously shared their expertise, stories and time to make this an unforgettable experience for the students:
