This year marks 20 years since Eileen Clifford lost her son Noel in an accident in Australia, but his memory lives on and never more so than this week as the Kerry family hosted a fundraiser in his memory.

Many Irish people living abroad will be familiar with the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust (KBRT), a charity that holds a special place in our hearts. This remarkable organization provides crucial financial and logistical support to families facing the unimaginable pain of losing a loved one overseas, helping bring their loved ones home to Ireland.

We tragically lost Noel, at just 24 years old in Sydney, Australia, on September 19th, 2004. The KBRT did not exist at that time so we deeply understand the vital role they play for families in similar circumstances.

In honour of Noel and to mark his 20th anniversary, we are organising a Golf Classic at Maine Valley Golf Club. The golf will be held on October 4th and 5th, with winners announced on the evening of the 5th. While the Saturday slots are fully booked, we still have a few slots available for Friday, October 4th.

The evening of the 5th will also feature music and craic as we celebrate the many happy memories we have of Noel. We will also be running a raffle with exciting prizes, including:

We are blown away by the support shown by friends and businesses locally & beyond for our Golf Classic on October 5th at Maine Valley Members Golf Club. All of our timeslots for the Saturday are now full. There are still some slots left for Friday 4th if you'd like to take part. A 4 person team is €400.

Tee-box sponsorship also available for €100.

We also will be holding a raffle on the night and tickets will be available to buy next week for that with some fantastic prizes on offer - again thanks to the generosity of our friends.

Join Us for the Noel Clifford 20th Anniversary Fundraiser - Maine Valley Golf Club, Saturday 5th October 2024

We're hosting a special fundraising event to honour Noel Clifford on the 20th anniversary of his passing. Noel left us far too soon on September 19th, 2004, in Sydney, Australia. Our family faced a really tough time bringing him home, which opened our eyes to the challenges many families face in similar situations. That's why all the money raised from this golf event will go to the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust
Since starting in 2013, the Trust has helped 1,920 families bring their loved ones back to Ireland, including 55 families in Kerry.

The golf classic will be on October 5th, 2024, at the Maine Valley Golf Club. This course was very dear to Noel, being just 500 meters from his home in Dromin.

Every donation makes a real difference in providing support helping families bring their loved ones home.
