Calling all Irish makers and crafters!

The medieval village of Kells, Co. Kilkenny will host the Tailteann Games Revival on Saturday, 20th September – a celebration of Ireland’s heritage with ancient games demonstrations, family fun, and an evening of music, storytelling, and feasting.

As part of the event, we’re holding a Traditional Irish Craft Fair showcasing skilled craftspeople and unique handmade goods. We are now inviting applications from crafters who would like to take part.

If you work in traditional crafts, heritage-inspired creations, or quality handmade products, we’d love to hear from you.

The 2025 graduate show from Grennan Mill Craft School is happening in Thomastown from Friday 23rd to Sunday 25th May.

It’s a celebration of the creativity, dedication, and hard work of this year’s graduating students.

That’s a wrap on our final Kells Stitch Social meet-up before the summer break!

A huge heartfelt thank you to everyone who has joined us since we got started back in February — whether you came along every week or just popped in for a chat and a few stitches, it’s been a joy to spend Thursday evenings with such a creative, welcoming bunch.

Massive thanks as well to Delaney’s for giving us the perfect space to gather, craft, and connect. We couldn’t have done it without your support!

We’ll be picking up our needles, hooks, and laughter again in September, so if you’ve been thinking of joining, keep an eye out — everyone’s welcome, whether you're a seasoned stitcher or just curious to give it a go.

Until then, have a fabulous summer and keep those crafty hands busy!

Kells Stitch Social Update

We’re having our final meet-up before the summer break this Thursday, 8th May, at 7pm in Delaneys

Come join us for one last evening of stitching, chatting, and fun before we take a break for the summer months.
We will be back again in September, refreshed and ready for more creative sessions!
