🌞🌱 Just a little reminder...

With the hot weather, our planters and flower pots outside can dry out really quickly. If you're out and about and have a few spare minutes, please give them a bit of water if they look thirsty.

Every little helps, and together we can keep the flowers looking lovely for everyone to enjoy. 🌸💧

Thanks everyone! 😊

🎨🪨 More kindness Stones are coming to the Park! 🪨🎨

We were delighted to welcome the children from the school back for a second workshop on our Kindness Stones Project.

The children painted another fantastic batch of colourful stones and learned about the purpose of the project – spreading kindness, positivity, and smiles throughout our community. Each stone is unique and carries a special message that can brighten someone's day.

The stones will soon be on display throughout the park for everyone to enjoy. Why not take a walk around, see how many you can find, and read the positive messages they share?

We would also love for members of the community to get involved. Feel free to paint your own kindness stone and leave it in the park for others to discover. A small act of kindness can make a big difference!

A huge thank you to all the children for their creativity, enthusiasm, and wonderful artwork. 💚

🌸🚮 **Tidy Towns Judging is Underway – Let's Give It One Last Push!** 🚮🌸

Over the next few weeks, the Tidy Towns judges will be making their way around Kilcormac, and we would love your help to show our community at its very best.

The town is looking better than ever, and that's thanks to the fantastic efforts of so many volunteers, residents, businesses, community groups and estate residents. 👏

Now is the time for one final push! Every little job makes a difference:
✅ Pick up a few pieces of litter
✅ W**d outside your home or business
✅ Touch up a fence, gate or wall with a fresh coat of paint
✅ Plant a few colourful flowers or tidy existing beds
✅ Sweep paths and keep areas looking neat

If residents in our housing estates could come together for a small clean-up or tidy-up, it would make a huge impact. When everyone does a little, together we achieve a lot.

Let's continue to take pride in our town and show the judges the community spirit that makes Kilcormac such a special place to live, work and visit. 💚

Thank you all for your continued support and hard work. Let's keep up the great work and give Kilcormac the finish it deserves! 🌼🌿

🐛♻️ Exciting News from Tidy Towns! ♻️🐛

We are delighted to announce the newest addition to our composting area – a brand new wormery!

A wormery is a fantastic way of turning kitchen scraps and organic waste into nutrient-rich compost using hardworking compost worms. These amazing little creatures break down food waste naturally, producing high-quality compost and liquid feed that can be used to help plants and gardens thrive.

Why is a wormery so beneficial?
🌱 Reduces food waste going to landfill
🌱 Produces natural fertiliser for plants and flowers
🌱 Encourages sustainable living and recycling
🌱 Helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions
🌱 Supports healthy soil and biodiversity

This new addition is another step towards making our community greener, more sustainable, and environmentally friendly. We look forward to seeing the positive impact it will have on our flower baskets and green spaces.

Keep an eye out for updates as our worms get to work! 🪱🌍

🌸 A lovely splash of colour has been added to the Square! 🌸

Our new planters are now in place, and they're already helping to brighten up the heart of Kilcormac. It's amazing how a few flowers and plants can transform a space, making it more welcoming, vibrant, and enjoyable for everyone. 🌺🌿

A huge thank you to the Men's Shed for their fantastic craftsmanship in creating the tall flower boxes. Even better, these unique planters were made using recycled rubbish bins kindly donated by Bord na Móna ♻️—a wonderful example of sustainability and community collaboration in action.

We would also like to thank our Kilcormac CE participants, who did a fantastic job with the planting. Their hard work and attention to detail have helped create a beautiful display that the whole community can enjoy. 🌼👏

It's great to see different groups working together to make a positive difference in our town. Be sure to have a look the next time you're passing through the Square and let us know what you think! 😊
