🌸 A lovely splash of colour has been added to the Square! 🌸

Our new planters are now in place, and they're already helping to brighten up the heart of Kilcormac. It's amazing how a few flowers and plants can transform a space, making it more welcoming, vibrant, and enjoyable for everyone. 🌺🌿

A huge thank you to the Men's Shed for their fantastic craftsmanship in creating the tall flower boxes. Even better, these unique planters were made using recycled rubbish bins kindly donated by Bord na Móna ♻️—a wonderful example of sustainability and community collaboration in action.

We would also like to thank our Kilcormac CE participants, who did a fantastic job with the planting. Their hard work and attention to detail have helped create a beautiful display that the whole community can enjoy. 🌼👏

It's great to see different groups working together to make a positive difference in our town. Be sure to have a look the next time you're passing through the Square and let us know what you think! 😊

🌸🌼 Last week, the Tidy Towns, together with our CE scheme participants, worked hard to collect and install the beautiful flower baskets throughout the streets of Kilcormac.

These colourful displays help brighten our town and create a welcoming atmosphere for residents and visitors alike. A huge thank you to all the volunteers and CE participants for their time, effort, and dedication in helping keep Kilcormac looking its best.

From 8–14 June, Hedgehog Conservation Ireland are asking people across the country to keep an eye out for , and record any sightings to help researchers better understand Ireland's hedgehog population.

Look for hedgehogs in your garden, local park, green spaces or woodland, especially around dusk. Whether you spot a hedgehog alive or dead, every record helps.

NB: Please observe hedgehogs from a distance, do not handle them or disturb nests, take care when out after dark, and respect private property.

🌟💚 Let's All Give Kilcormac a Little Extra TLC 💚🌟

Over the next few weeks, our town will be welcoming a number of judging visits for various competitions and awards. While Kilcormac always looks fantastic, now is the perfect time for all of us to make that little extra effort to help our community shine! ✨🏡

🚮 Pick up a few pieces of litter on your walk.
🌺 Plant a few extra flowers or tidy up your garden frontage.
🎨 Give that gate, fence, wall, or planter a fresh coat of paint.
🧹 Sweep outside your home or business.
🌿 Tidy those weeds that have been meaning to get your attention!

The truth is, when everyone does a little, together we achieve a lot. It doesn't take much to make a huge difference, and every small action helps create a town we can all be proud of. 💪💚

Kilcormac has always had a wonderful community spirit, and it's that spirit that has helped us achieve so much over the years. Let's pull together once again and show visitors, judges, and ourselves just how much pride we take in our town. 🌟

Thank you to everyone who already gives their time, energy, and support. It is genuinely appreciated. 👏😊

Arthur giving the new mulcher a proper test run this evening 😃🌿♻️

We also took a quick tour of our compost heap and leaf mould area, which is really starting to pay off for us now. It’s amazing to see how much good compost we can create ourselves to use in our flower beds around the town 🌼🌱

It’s all part of trying to become more sustainable, reduce waste and save a few euro along the way too 💚

A lot of work goes on behind the scenes in areas like this, but it makes such a difference when it comes to keeping Kilcormac looking its best ahead of the upcoming Tidy Towns judging 🏡✨

A great evening’s work by the Kilcormac Tidy Towns crew 🌿👏

We made a good start tackling some of the weeds in the Town Park and also got the chance to try out our new mulcher 😃♻️

It’s another fantastic step towards being more self-sustainable. The mulch will be brilliant around the base of our trees and flower beds — and even better knowing we can now make our own instead of buying it in 🌳💚 Saving money while helping the environment… we’ll take that all day long! 😅

Bit by bit we’re getting everything looking its best ahead of the upcoming Tidy Towns judging 🌼🏡

As always, a huge thank you to everyone who comes out and lends a hand — every little bit helps and it’s great to see the progress being made together 💪✨
