RDAI Thurles Group

RDAI Thurles Group This is the page for the Holycross (Thurles) group of RDAI. We have around 35 riders ranging in age from 18 months to 60+!

The Holycross (Thurles) group of RDAI was set up in 1979 by Jimmy and Mary Doyle in The Dairy, Glenbane, Holycross, County Tipperary. The RDAI is an Irish based charity focused on providing therapeutic horse riding and carriage driving lessons to people with both developmental and physical disabilities. Our aim is to improve the general health and wellbeing of people with special needs in a fun an

d safe environment, while also broadening their horizons. The organization just would not exist without its volunteers, here in Holycross we have approximately 15 regular volunteers who dedicate their Wednesdays mornings to provide this service, as well as a number of semi-regular volunteers. They all have a diverse range of abilities.
