🩷💙 WAVE OF LIGHT | 7PM TONIGHT 🕯️

Tonight, Carnmore Community Centre will light up pink and blue for Wave of Light, in memory of all the precious babies who have left this world far too soon. 🩷💙

We invite you, wherever you are at 7pm tonight, to light a candle 🕯️ and join us in remembering and honouring every little life that has touched our hearts and left an everlasting imprint.

For all the babies gone too soon, for the families who carry them in their hearts every day, and for the love that never fades. 🤍

One candle, one moment, one community remembering together. 🕯️✨

🌱 Investing in a Greener Carnmore! 🌱

A huge thank you to the Dept of Climate, Energy and Environment and Galway County Council for supporting Carnmore Community Centre through the Climate Action Grant, which has helped fund the installation of cavity wall pump insulation at the Centre.

The insulation was recently installed by Ecowise Insulation, helping to improve the energy efficiency of our building, reduce heat loss and make the Centre more sustainable for the future. ♻️🏡

This is another important step in our ongoing programme of upgrading and improving Carnmore Community Centre for the benefit of our local community.

We really appreciate the support from Galway County Council in helping us make these improvements possible. 🙌

Thank you! 💚

🚗⚠️ PLEASE SLOW DOWN – CARNMORE COMMUNITY CENTRE & GAA GROUNDS ⚠️🚗

A gentle reminder to all members of the public using the grounds of Carnmore Community Centre and the Hurling Pitches.

The grounds are extremely busy most evenings, with children, families, players, coaches and members of the community coming and going.

🙏 Please slow down and drive with extra care and vigilance while on the grounds.

👧🧒 Small children may be crossing the road or moving between the pitches, clubhouse and community centre, and they can be difficult to see, particularly during busy periods.

Please:
🔹 Reduce your speed
🔹 Stay alert and be prepared for children to cross
🔹 Give pedestrians plenty of space
🔹 Take extra care when entering and leaving the grounds
🔹 Remember that getting there safely is more important than getting there quickly

Let's all do our part to keep Carnmore Community Centre and our playing fields safe for everyone. ❤️

PLEASE SLOW DOWN – OUR CHILDREN ARE OUR PRIORITY.

✨ SEEING STRESS IN A NEW WAY ✨

What if stress isn’t the enemy?
💭 What if there is another way of understanding what we experience when life feels overwhelming?

Join Angelina Hynes & Debra Simmons for a relaxed and interactive two-hour workshop exploring a fresh perspective on stress — one that doesn’t involve managing it, fighting it or learning another list of coping strategies.

🌿 Instead, we’ll explore how our psychological experience really works, why stress may not mean what we think it means, and what becomes possible when we are no longer afraid of how we feel.

📅 Friday 18th September
⏰ 7.30pm–9.30pm
📍 Carnmore Community Centre
💶 €20

📞 Contact Angelina on 086 171 2594 to book your place.

✨ Come along, take a different look at stress, and discover a fresh perspective. ✨

🔌 Keeping Carnmore Community Centre Prepared! 💪

A huge thank you to Galway County Council’s Community Department for their continued support and funding towards the installation of a Manual Changeover Switch at Carnmore Community Centre. 🙌

This important upgrade now allows the Community Centre to safely connect and operate a generator when required, helping to ensure the facility can continue to provide essential services to our community during emergency situations or unexpected power outages.

It’s another valuable investment in the resilience, safety and future of our Community Centre. ❤️

We really appreciate the support from Galway County Council Community Department and their commitment to helping community facilities like ours improve and develop.

Thank you! 👏

SIÚLACH SCÉALACH AR AN GCARN MÓR
Maith sibh na Gaeilgeoirí a tháinig amach faoin mbáisteach throm ar an Dé Céadaoin seo caite nuair a bhog ár ‘Siúlach Scéalach’ go club iománaíochta Carnmore den chéad uair.
Bhí an ócáid chomh taitneamhach ag ionad CLG an Chairn Mhóir gur shocraigh na rannpháirtithe teacht le chéile gach Céadaoin an mhí seo ag 7.30pm le haghaidh siúlóid uair an chloig agus deis a ár dteanga dhúchais a labhairt.
Is é an smaoineamh atá taobh thiar den ‘Siúlach Scéalach’ ná gur féidir le daoine teacht le chéile agus labhairt le chéile i nGaeilge agus iad ag siúl agus iad ag siúl ar feadh uair an chloig. Ní caitifidh daoine a bheith líofa le bheith páirteach.
Bígí linn!
……………
Well done to the Gaeilgeoirs who turned out in the pouring rain last Wednesday evening when our ‘Siúlach Scéalach’ moved to the Carnmore hurling club for the first time. Last week was such a success we've decided to make it a weekly event in Carnmore for the month of June - so we'll be there on the 10th, 17th, and 24th!
