It was a pleasure to catch up with Prof. Thomas Cooney at TU Dublin / OT Baile Átha Cliath recent conference, 'Entrepreneurship Persons with Disabilities'.
It was an inspiring event that brought together people who are passionate about creating more inclusive communities, workplaces, and opportunities for disabled people.

As someone who is disabled, I know firsthand the importance of removing barriers and creating pathways for people to fully participate in education, employment, entrepreneurship, and community life.

Through our organisation, we work closely with disabled entrepreneurs and learners every day, and we see the incredible impact that the right supports, opportunities, and belief can have.

Conferences like this are an important reminder that supporting the disability sector is not simply about providing services. It is about recognising talent, championing inclusion, and ensuring that disabled people have equal opportunities to contribute, lead, and succeed.
Continued collaboration between education, business, policymakers, and the disability sector is essential if we are to build a truly inclusive society.

Thank you to TU Dublin / OT Baile Átha Cliath for hosting such an important conference and for creating space for these vital discussions. Looking forward to continuing the conversation and the work ahead.

It’s always a privilege to meet participants at the very beginning of their self‑employment journey, and we’re looking forward to welcoming this year’s cohort, hearing their ideas, and helping them build the confidence and skills to move those ideas forward 🚀

Following the success of our previous programme, we’re delighted to announce that applications will soon open for our next Entrepreneurship for People with Disabilities Programme.
