After overcoming the challenges of information poverty, herself, Rosemary Lioness Kunene founded and leads Dignity Partnership, a social enterprise tackling information poverty and building more inclusive, connected communities.

A dedicated social entrepreneur and experienced community facilitator, her work focuses on addressing information poverty and facilitating meaningful integration for people from refugee and migrant backgrounds within Irish society. For over 10 years, she has
worked with frontline and community workers through practical, lived‑experience‑informed training and consultation, and has brought the wider public together in interactive workshops that reduce barriers and foster more inclusive, connected communities.

She holds a Master’s in Co‑operatives and Social Enterprise and a BA in Applied Addiction Studies and Community Development. Rosey Lioness is passionate about community empowerment and participation.

Our national day for domestic abuse awareness, Go Purple Day takes place this Friday 15 May.

Go Purple Day is an initiative by An Garda Síochána, with the support of domestic abuse services nationwide, to help raise awareness about domestic abuse and the supports available.
