A winning start to the championship campaign for our U14 boys this evening as Shannon Gaels overcame Granard on a scoreline of 4-09 to 1-12.

A superb team performance with great work rate, determination and plenty of fine scores throughout. Well done to all the players and management on getting the championship off to the perfect start.

Thanks to Granard for a sporting game and best of luck to them in the rounds ahead.

A special word of thanks to all our coaches and mentors who generously give their time, energy and encouragement to help our young players grow and enjoy the game we all love.

A big thank you to everyone who came out to our Born 2018/2019 Specsavers Longford Go Games Football Blitz in Clonbonny this evening. 💙💚🏐

It was fantastic to see so many young players enjoying their football, developing their skills and having great fun.

A special thanks to all the parents who brought fruit along this evening. 🍉🍊🍌 The other clubs loved the idea and it was a great way to keep everyone refreshed on a lovely evening. 👍👍

The place to be this evening is Clonbonny for the U14 Division 1 Cup Final as Shannon Gaels take on St. Colmcille’s Ballymore at 7:30pm.

The boys have worked incredibly hard all season and now need your support from the sidelines. Let’s get a big Shannon Gaels crowd behind them and create a great atmosphere for the final.

Great to see 6 Shannon Gaels representatives lining out for Longford U16s against Sligo in Pearse Park today.

Darragh Donlon, Josh Curran, Tim Kenny, Jack Cassidy, Alfie Murphy and Shane Farrell all acquitted themselves brilliantly and represented both club and county with distinction. 👏💙💚

Well done lads, keep up the great work.
