Our cubs had an early start this morning as we met at our den to get the bus to De La Salle College for the County Cubs Skills Day. The cubs got to practice knife & axe safety skills, tent pitching, orienteering & backwoods. Great day was had by all. Special thanks to our ventures Sean, Ronan & Ellen for helping. Thanks to Brian & Cormac & all the scouters from around the county for a fantastic day out.

Our next fundraising event will be a book sale, taking place in the Fusion Centre on April 17th and 18th. 📚

We're currently collecting books for it, so if you're having a clearout and want to donate your old books they can be dropped to McGrath's Newsagent or Liam Rossiter Quality Meats. Books can also be dropped to the Fusion Centre at any scout meeting - Mondays 7-9pm, Tuesday 7.30-9pm or Thursdays 7.30-8.45pm.

Proceeds from the book sale will go towards the Mount Stuart Campsite Development Fund ⛺

Thank you so much to everyone who took part in our Ball Run on St Patrick’s Day! ☘️

To everyone who bought a ball, sold tickets, helped organise, and came along to watch we are incredibly grateful for the support.

Thanks also to the St. Patrick's Day Parade Dungarvan committee for facilitating the event after the parade, and to all the volunteers who helped make it such a fantastic success on the day.

We’re delighted to share that a total of €5,800 was raised for the Mount Stuart Campsite Development Fund, supporting the development of our 8-acre woodland site for scouting activities and future events.

2nd – Claire Flavin (€300)
3rd – Mick Murray (€200)

We're on a last push to sell all the balls for our ball run, which will take place on Mary St straight after the St. Patrick's Day Parade Dungarvan.

Balls will be on sale in Garvey's SuperValu Dungarvan all day Saturday, and are also available from McGrath's Newsagent and Liam Rossiter Quality Meats, or DM us for an online payment link. As balls are limited to 1,500, when they're gone they're gone!

Price is €5 per ball, please support if you can, and come along after the parade to see the action 🇮🇪 🇮🇪
