It’s been a while since our last update but there are some developments we would like to share. The Afghan family we sponsored has settled well into their new life in Dublin, and continue to build relationships within the extended local community. In December they welcomed a beautiful baby girl 🥰
However, the situation in Afghanistan remains unstable for many citizens, living in constant fear and under threat from the Taliban regime. The father / grandfather of our Afghan family was recently detained by them and subjected to mental and physical torture. We want to bring him and his wife to Ireland as a matter of urgency. And we need your help to make this happen.
Last Saturday we did our second 'Dip for DARA'. Thankfully the weather stayed dry and calm for our swim, but rest assured - it was FREEZING!!!
Our target is to raise €10,000 and due to the incredible generosity of our community, we have raised almost €6,000 in the last week!!
