The Dales Centre works with individuals and families from the Darndale, Belcamp, Moateview and Dublin 17 area, to address the issue of problematic substance and alcohol use. This is achieved by the provision of one to one support to all of our clients. Keyworking, case management and care planning. We also offer Counselling and psychotherapy. All of our care planning is done in consultation with t
he client’s needs and they are kept central to the plan at all times. Crisis intervention is available on demand, all of the Dales staff are trained in the ASIST su***de prevention programme. We also operate a comprehensive Outreach service throughout Darndale, Belcamp and Moateview. The Dales works from a low threshold - harm reduction philosophy, meaning that there are few constraints imposed on the people using our services and a high degree of tolerance is exercised by the staff. As a result we are able to engage with individuals who often find themselves excluded from services due to their substance use, and associated needs and behaviour. We deliver health promotion programmes to young people in schools throughout the area, focusing on smoking and alcohol. We also promote better health, by providing anger management and conflict resolution on a one to one or group level as requested. Working closely with other agencies is an integral part of our service, as we aim is to get the best possible service available to our client group,
