Order Of Malta Ambulance Corps - Marino Unit

Order Of Malta Ambulance Corps - Marino Unit Order of Malta Ireland - Ambulance Corps - Marino The Order of Malta Marino Unit has been serving the Community for over 60 years.

The Order of Malta is a voluntary ambulance and first aid organization. We provide first aid training, ambulance cover at events, patient transports to and from hospital, community and nursing services. The Marino unit is dived into three sections. Our Cadets aged from 10 – 16 years old, our OMAC Youth aged 16 – 18 years old and then our senior members who range in age from 18 – 60+. All these gro

ups are extremely active year round. Our Cadets based in Marino learn first aid, communications and basic nursing skills, while meeting people their own age in their region and nationally. Locally you will see the unit providing Emergency Ambulance and First Aid cover for a wide array of activities around the Marino area or while on community duties where we bring guests from the locality to mass or social nights in the Irish Wheelchair Association on behalf of MS Ireland and Timber mills. The unit is also very active in regular duties across Dublin City and County. An example of the regular work we do across Dublin is when we assist with providing Emergency Medical Services at the Three Arena (formerly the O2 Arena). If you wish to join our unit either at Senior or Cadet level. Please either email [email protected] or contact us here by sending us a message.

We had a whole Marino unit Christmas gathering on ice, which included our Cadets, Youth and Senior members having some much deserved festive fun. Glad to say we all survived the evening without needing to put our First Aid skills to use⛸️

Wishing everyone in the Marino Unit and beyond a very Happy Christmas and Prosperous New Year✨

We are thrilled to have held this years Marino Old Folks Christmas Party for the Sick and Housebound in the Community.

We had over 100 wonderful guests this year, all of whom arrived to a photo with Santa, followed by Mass, a delicious Christmas dinner, entertainment and dancing before receiving their Santa photos and presents. We also celebrated the wonderful 100th birthday of one of our guests this year 🎊

The day couldn’t have been a success without the kind help of so many. Many thanks to the Marino Parish Priests for delivering mass to our guests. To Seamus Connolly Catering for a delicious Christmas dinner. To Una Clarke and Scoil Rince Clann O’Connell for a wonderful Irish dancing display. To Colm Hudson for the highly enjoyable musical entertainment. To Le Chéile Donnycarney for the use of their hall and the help of their team. To the Donnycarney Local Care Services for their wonderful help.

A Teachtaí Dála Barra Ó hÉanacháin agus Naoise Ó Muirí - go raibh maith agaibh.

Thanks to both our National Director Brian Coote and our Regional Director Eddie Duffy for coming along. And all other units that supported us with volunteers and vehicles.

And lastly a massive thank you to all our Marino Unit volunteers on the day. Our , our and our who all worked hard to ensure our guests had a wonderful time.

Busy weekend for our Volunteers.
Saturday and Sunday saw us provide cover at Dublin Comic Con. We were delighted to have a number of our Cadets join us on Sunday for their first duty.

Today we had members work along side the rest of the region to provide cover for the St. Patrick's Day Parade in town.

Well done to all our members who gave us their time this weekend to help out.
